To be a games tester, you need to play a certain part of a game in many different ways in order to

find any bugs, spelling mistakes etc. You need to: be good enough at games to be able to play that
moment, have a lot of perseverance to be able to play the same things over and over again, pay
close attention to find any smaller problems, communicate to your team what problems you may
have found, and follow instructions to understand what it is you need to do at that moment. It is
recommended to get at least a Level 3 qualification to start working as a Games Tester due to that
unlocking various higher up roles in the industry. Examples of qualifications are a Diploma in Creative
Media and Study, a Diploma in Games Animation and VFX, and a Technical Diploma in Digital Media.

To be an animator, you need to draw various characters, scenes etc. and animate them to create a
fluid, somewhat realistic animation that works. You need to: be good enough at art to be able to
draw various characters, environments etc., have good knowledge of the principles of animation and
stuff related to it, be able to share your creative ideas with others, be able to work within the
production schedule you’ve been set, and have a passion for the industry. You can take A-Levels in
art, art and design, graphic design or film studies to geta job as an animator, as well as a variety of
Level 3 Qualifications.
