1) Aim/Overview of the practical:

 To guide the students regarding descriptive statistics (mean, medium and mode)
 The Students will be acquainted with the basic understanding of applied statistics.

2) Task to be done:

Introduction to descriptive statistics and its function.

What is the number and % of unmarried people in this group? (attach screenshot of output)

Problem-02:

What is the frequency of females? (attach screenshot of output)

Problem-03:

What is the mean value of income category in thousand and level of education? (attach screenshot of output)

3) Steps for experiment/practical:


1. To get the number and percentage of unmarried people:

 In “SPPS Menu” go to “Analyze” Tab


 In the Tab select “Descriptive Statistics”
 In this tab select Frequencies
 Here select “Marital Status of Respondent”
 Then Click Ok Button
 We will get the output as given below

2. To get the frequency of females:

 In “SPPS Menu” go to “Analyze” Tab


 In the Tab select “Descriptive Statistics”
 In this tab select Frequencies
 Here select “Gender of Respondent”
 Then Click Ok Button
 We will get the output as given below

3. To get the frequency of females:

 In “SPPS Menu” go to “Analyze” Tab


 In the Tab select “Descriptive Statistics”
 In this tab select Frequencies
 Here select “Salary per Month & Qualification of Respondent”
 Then Click Statistics
 Choose Mean
 Then Click Continue Button
 Then Click Ok Button
 We will get the output as given below
