OVERVIEW OF AN INTERNSHIP:

• Filling forms of investors and get them registered in SBI Mutual


Fund. The main core work was to get the documents from different
Relationship Manager. I use to fill the registration form by attaching
all the documents required and get their KYC done and then use to
prepare the Folio for a particular individual and entry the details for
the same on the company website.

• I have also explained about the SBI fund to investor which are
performing better and giving a good returns. So, that they are aware
about the fund performance and accordingly can invest in the same.

• In first two weeks I had an knowledge about the Mutual Fund, how
we can invest in mutual fund, What are large-Cap Companies, Mid-
Cap Companies and Small-Cap Companies.

• Large-Cap Companies- Top 100 companies Mid-Cap Companies-


Rank between 101& 250 by their full market capitalization. Small-
Cap Companies- Invest in companies that rank above 250 in terms of
their full market capitalization.

• How the fund is being managed (Active Fund or Passive Fund)

• Learned about how to read the factsheet of a fund. Factsheet is


prepared every month to know the performance of fund and the share
price of the shares invested in that fund. We get to analyse the
portfolio of each fund.

• Learned about Power of compounding in a mutual fund.

• On day-to-day basis task I use to get the KYC of the investors in that
case if the KYC is under process, or on Hold, fully registered after
completion of all documents and verification the folio is being
prepared. So in day-to-day operation my work was to check the status
of KYC prepare the folio.
• From last one week I am working under the marketing and sales team
and I have been given training of how to talk with the investors and
tell them about our mutual fund product.

• The task was given to visit the AXIS Branch and talk with the branch
manager officer and relationship manager an to get an SIP done

• I have also attended the corporate meeting with the sir and visited
different banks.
INTRODUCTION:

Mutual Fund Industry in India has been playing a massive role in the economic
development of the country since many years.
How Mutual Funds Work
A mutual fund is a registered open-end investment company that pools money
from many investors and invest the money in stocks, bonds, short-term money-
market instruments, or some combination of these investments.
Mutual fund shares are typically purchased from the fund directly or through
investment professionals like brokers.

• Open-end Investment Companies
• Closed-end Investment Companies
• Management of Portfolio (Actively or Passively)
• Underlying Portfolio (Equity, Debt, Hybrid, Money Market instruments)

• SBI Mutual Fund Trustee Company Private Limited was set up on
June 29, 1987 and was incorporated on February 7, 1992.
• It is one of the India’s largest and oldest MFs.
• SBI Mutual Fund is a joint venture between one of India’s largest and
most profitable banks, the State Bank of India, and Amundi, which is
a French asset management company.
• First Indian Mutual Fund to launch a ‘Contra’ fund.
• SBI Mutual Fund is the first in India to launch an ESG Fund.

• Experienced Professionals.
• Investors trust in them as they have a strong brand image and also
have a detailed knowledge of market and experience from past
16years.

Methodology:
This project is done to get the understanding of different avenues of mutual
fund. How the product of mutual is being delivered through channels. I worked
under the sales team and was given the On-job training for more than one week.

Objective of the Report:


Main objective was to study and analyze the performance and analysis of
Mutual fund of SBI.
• To get an overall idea of AMFI & SBIMF
• To know about the products of SBIMF and how they help investors.
• To analyze whether the Mutual Fund of SBI are earning high returns.
