A RESOLUTION BY THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE WASHOE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY

CONDEMNING JOE BIDEN’S ATTACK ON DISSENTERS

WHEREAS the United States of America protects and honors freedom of speech, particularly political speech
and dissent against government officials and agencies, and the principle is enshrined in the 1 st Amendment to
the Constitution; and

WHEREAS, America is not a dictatorship where citizens are not allowed to criticize their government or
disagree with the policies and vision for the country espoused by elected officials; and

WHEREAS, Joe Biden attacks American citizens, whom he calls, “MAGA Republicans,” who exercise their 1 st
Amendment rights and accuses them of threatening “the very foundations of our republic;” and

WHEREAS, Joe Biden demonizes American citizens, slanders them, and paints a target on their backs for
simply disagreeing with him; and

WHEREAS, Joe Biden’s targeted attack on one group of American citizens he wants to persecute is completely
unpresidential and un-American.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Central Committee of the Washoe County Republican Party:

Section 1. Condemns and rejects Joe Biden’s unpresidential and un-American attacks on Americans, whom he
calls, “MAGA Republicans,” because they disagree with him.

Section 2. Strongly urges members of Nevada congressional delegation to condemn and reject Joe Biden’s
accusations and demonization of these Americans exercising their 1 st Amendment right to disagree with him.

Section 3. Demands Joe Biden immediately apologize and completely, totally, and clearly retract his
accusations that Americans who disagree with him, i.e., so-called “MAGA Republicans, are “extremists” who
“threaten the very foundations of our republic.”

Section 4. Demands Joe Biden immediately reaffirm his support for Americans’ 1 st Amendment rights to speak
freely, about any issue, no matter how much he dislikes what they say.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, the Republican Party of Washoe County strongly condemns the actions of Joe
Biden.

AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the Republican Party of Washoe County calls on all remaining 3,142 Counties
and County equivalents nationwide to pass a similar resolution condemning Joe Biden’s attack on dissenters.

This resolution approved by the Central Committee of the Republican Party of Washoe County
on September 26, 2022.
