Note Taking is a very important skill that everyone need to learn.

1. what is note taking?


o Note taking is actually a skill that, done thoughtfully, requires active attention
and critical thinking.
o Note taking is about summarizing core concepts, precisely in your own words, to
come back to the ideas and actions discussed during a meeting, lecture of
conference.
o Synthensizes conversation / presentation into key take away.

2. Why we should take Notes?


o Taking notes will help you recall information that would otherwise lose.

o Taking notes sharpens your focus because writing notes engages your brain in
beneficial ways that help you grasp and retain information.
o Taking notes is your document of proof.

o Learn to do it well and you will contribute great value to your team meetings.

3. How to take notes?


o Highlight the key points.
o Leave a space between entries so that you can fill in any missing information.
o Use pen and paper,
Paper example is notebook and others, this better than electronic like tablet and
laptop.
4. Review your notes.
o Writing book identity.
o Read the table of contents and synopsis.
o Reading books.
o Tell what things you like from the book’s contents.
o Convey the outhor’s technique in writing a book.
o Give rating.
o Making conclusions.

5. Conclusion.
o Write stuff down.
o Be there, be present.
o Enjoy it.
o Go back and review your notes.
