SUMMARY

A. MAIN BOOK

Exploring and investigating the spoken word

One area in which ICT is underused in the English classroom is that of sound. Whereas teachers
were adept at managing reel-to-reel recorders and then cassette sound recorders, the recording
and playing of sound seems to have receded into the background over the last few years.
Paradoxically, sound recording is easier than ever and no one has to manage awkward tapes or
cassettes anymore.

There are a number of hand-held voice recorders on the market, basically microphones which
store your recordings on a memory chip within them.
Many of these have a built in USB connection so that transferring the data to a computer is
quick and easy.

 Using ICT to Explore and Investigate processor, enabling you to cut, copy, paste and
delete sections of sounds just as you would with text. Like a word processor, it will allow
you to enhance the product by, for example, amplifying parts or adding more bass.
 Most of these facilities are of more relevance to presentation and performance than to
exploration and investigation. However, sound recording also allows for the analysis of
spoken language. At its simplest level, students can listen again and again to selected
texts and comment on the way words are spoken as well as their meaning, a key area of
language study as well as a much overlooked one in literature. Ask two or more students
to record the same piece, be it prose, poetry or dialogue from a play. Play back the
recordings and discuss the differences.

CLOSING

A. CONCLUSION

In closing, these two books teach about ICT. In this book, we can learn about how
to use ICT in teaching and learning, and also many theories that we can understand
for better use of ICT in language learning. Overall, these two books are very
interesting to read, although there are advantages and disadvantages, they are very
reasonable in a book.

B. SUGGESTION
I hope this book will be sustainable for future editions or printing. It is hoped that
furthermore it can follow according to the times at this time. So that we can be more
helpful and share broader knowledge about leadership in the era of the industrial
revolution 4.0 as it is today.
