Above mentioned data was made in laboratory. Due to a huge variety of different applications, these data should be
considered as standard values only.
* German Hazardous Material Regulations
** German Technical Regulations for Hazardous Materials

Sub-floor: The sub-floor must meet the requirements acc. to VOB/DIN 18365 German standard. It must
have a good compression and tensile strength. Also it must be permanently dry, crack and dust
free and free from any contaminants which will affect bonding. Furthermore the sub-floor has to
be even acc. to DIN 18202 German standards.

Defective sub-floors shall be treated by taking appropriate measures e.g. grinding, priming,
applying self-levelling compound. In the event of any discrepancy, the floorlayer must always
inform the client of his concerns in writing.

For producing an absorbent, even sub-floor which is suitable for use of castor-chairs, apply a
cement-based levelling compound of at least – 2 mm layer thickness, e.g. Forbo 975 Europlan
Special. Mastic asphalt sub-floors as well as moisture-sensitive types of sub-floors e.g. calcium-
sulfate-based screed, stone wood and magnesia screed require a levelling compound layer
thickness of min. 2 mm.

In case of installing the floor covering over under-floor heating systems, check existing
measuring points regarding their moisture content acc. to DIN 4725/4 German standard.
Adhering on top of old floor coverings a migration stop of 900 Europlan DSP is to be applied

Instruction for use: Stir well before use!

The adhesive is to be equally applied onto the sub-floor with a spatula, avoid puddles. The type
of spatula depends on the type and condition of the sub-floor and on the type of floor covering
backing: Spatula A1/A2 for smooth CV-/PVC floor coverings, spatula for structured floor
covering backings to be increased. Spread the adhesive evenly over an area of sub-floor that
can be covered whilst the adhesive remains receptive and gives good transfer. Spatulas need
to be replaced in time in order to guarantee the correct amount of adhesive.

Wet bonding/one side bonding: Airing time for absorbent sub-floors: approx. 10-15 min. (until
skin formation), afterwards install the floor covering into the relatively moist adhesive, rub and
roll it down with an articulated floor roller.

Pressure-sensitive bonding: For installation on non-absorbent sub-floors, the airing time

necessarily needs to extend to approx. 30-60 min. depending on room climate. Rub and roll it
down immediately with an articulated floor roller, especially along the seams.

Contact bonding (bonding of wall-covering, bonding on ceilings, wall protection mats in sports
halls): Apply the adhesive on both the sub-floor and the floor covering backing; airing time is the
same as for pressure-sensitive bonding. Install the floor covering within the contact bonding
time of approx. 90 min. and rub it down well. No correction possible!

This type of adhesive is possible to reactivate thermally within the following days after
installation. Please warm up the floor covering and sub-floor to approx. 70 - 80 °C carefully with
welding equipment and install the ocntaxct bonding again as described above.

Highly expanding or shrinking types of floor covering at higher temperatures require further
advice from our Forbo export department. However, we recommend Forbo 622 Eurostar Tack
or Forbo 540 Eurosafe Special.
Adhesive Roll-System: the applied adhesive with a toothed spatula is to be immediately rolled
with a Forbo techno roller, thus shortening the curing time and reducing indents by early traffic
use.

Note: Floor coverings need to be acclimatized in the room in a flat position before installation in order
to avoid over-lapping due to expansion. Please pay attention to the technical data sheets
issued by the floor covering manufacturer. The temperature of the sub-floor, the floor covering
and the adhesive mustn’t drop under 15 °C. The relative air humidity should not exceed 75 %
(max. 65 % recommended). Fresh spilled adhesive needs to be removed with water
immediately. Dried spilled adhesive needs to be removed with Forbo Solution 676. Welding the
seams should be done sooner than 24 h after the installation.

Relevant norms and regulations of the branch are to be respected. Outside Germany relevant
national regulations are to be applied which have to be known by the user. For installation of
textile floor coverings we recommend an adhesive with very low emissions, e.g. Forbo 509
Eurosafe Tex.

Please pay attention to the technical data sheets of auxiliary material!
