Objectives
This fundamental course on Mathematics provides requisite and relevant
background necessary to understand and analyze the concepts of courses of their
field.

Expected Outcome
By the end of the course the students are able to apply the concepts of Statistics,
Matrices, Integral Transforms and Numerical Methods in their courses.

Unit1 Descriptive Statistics 6 hours

of Dispersion ‐ Moments ‐ Coefficient of Skewness, Kurtosis Probability 
distributions  –  Axioms of probability ‐ Random variables ‐ Bernoulli’s, Binomial,
Poisson distributions ‐ Normal distribution.
