“Students are healthy and happy in
a Green University”
As we all know, trees are
very important in producing oxygen
for our environment and it is what
cleanses the carbon dioxide in the
air we inhale. And in USLS, true to
its representing color, the university
is as green as it should be.

Roaming around USLS
One doesn’t have to fully enter the
university in order to witness its budding, healthy
trees. The university’s natural condition is very
well sustained and taken care of.

As we roamed around the university, we couldn’t

see any problem or issues with its nature’s state.
The trees are overflowing, healthy, and
prominent in the university.

How do we preserve and

sustain the trees?

6
How do we preserve these?

Ways to preserve
the trees:
• More trees should to be planted in our campus as
trees absorb less storm water runoff. This lessens
erosion and pollution in our waterways and may
lessen the consequences of flooding.

• We must throw our wastes, garbage, and trash in

their rightful places. This way we can avoid
contaminating our surroundings and helps our
environment stay clean and healthy.
● If we can, we must lessen the usage of
motor vehicles which produces pollution
that can weaken these trees that makes
them vulnerable to other damages.

● Walk on footpaths and stay off grass areas

so that we can avoid impacting or damaging
them. This will help in maintaining them in
good shape.

● Participate in tree planting activities the

University offers for us to join. This way, we
can help maintaining not only the trees in
campus but the trees outside and in other
places.
