The researchers would like to know the factors that affects the respondents stress level, this

research will use Qualitative design where researchers will use a survey that contains factors that music
contain and may affect the stress level of the grade 10 students. While the research type is descriptive,
the researchers are aiming to identify what kind of music may help to reduce a student’s stress.

The researchers would like to conduct the surveys in main building of Espiritu Santo Parochial
School, addressed in 1912 Rizal Avenue cor. Tayuman St., Santa Cruz, Manila. There will be a total of 40
grade 10 respondents for the survey, 5 for each Grade 10 section. Our chosen respondents are the
Grade 10 students of Espiritu Santo Parochial School and this subjects met the requirements that
researchers will need. Although the researchers can choose other School, because of the lack of time,
the researchers chose the Espiritu Santo Parochial School because they are near and efficient.

The researchers chose the data collection technique the data collection technique that will be
used by the researchers are in a form of a survey to know the efficacy of upbeat music on affecting the
stress level. Survey are much easier to do and appropriate for this kind of research than conducting an
interview. As Survey can help to save time throughout the research. In this kind of data collection, the
respondents will be able to interpret how music affects their stress level and could gather more
information without talking or interfering with them. Through survey it could give the researchers a
qualitative result from the majority of the proponents. The result of the survey will give the researchers
an idea whether pop and upbeat music increases or decreases the stress level of the respondents. The
result of the survey would give us knowledge to the possible effect of music to the stress level of a
student. Lastly, in this type of data collection, the respondents will be able to accurately and clearly
answer the survey questions given to them.

The researchers will ensure the secrecy and confidentiality of the information and answers of
the respondents and their anonymity. The information and the identity of the respondents will only be
disclosed between them and the researchers to ensure their safety and to avoid any threats. The
researchers will also ensure unbiased and honest answers from the respondents in order for the study
to be successful and effective.
