Simplicity David Adhitya Stumer Champion Newscasting

On the evening of May 26, 2022, it was recorded as the Closing Ceremony of the 9th NPEO
competition which was enlivened by the announcement of the winners of other competitions.
One of them is the announcement of the winners of the Newscasting competition, Salut!
David Adhitya Stumer, who was born and raised in Semarang, is a Semarang State
Polytechnic student in semester IX majoring in Business Administration, and won the
Newscasting Master's Category Champion.

David is the type of person who is easygoing so that he doesn't think much about how and
what he will meet. It's the same with facing this competition, David prefers to "enjoy the
process" and doesn't want to be too pressured because he doesn't want to lose the thrill of
excitement during the competition, with a process that includes practice.

During the competition, it is unlikely that there will be obstacles that will come. As David
said, he felt quite “new” in this Newscasting competition and was a little nervous when he
saw the tools available for the Newscasting competition in the studio. Not only that, David
still feels new with the proper way of expression, intonation, and body gestures. Therefore,
the obstacle that David faced was the difficulty in adapting.

David's attractive appearance made him ogled and liked by the jury and as a result, he got a
ticket to advance to the Final round. What is David preparing to face the Final of the race? He
said he was just trying to be as energetic as possible in his performances, trying to be himself
in breaking the news in the race. He also said that the judges might like and glance at them,
because the most important thing in the Newscasting competition is the “Standout” among
the other participants.

Shock and not expecting, that's what David felt when he won the title as Champion
Newscasting Master's Category. David said that he was surprised because this was the first
competition he had participated in and immediately replied that he could and could be in this
branch of the Newscasting competition.
David's simplicity is that he prefers to take public transportation over other forms of
transportation. If asked the reason why David prefers to take public transportation, namely
because the price is relatively cheap and considering the distance where he competes with the
hotel which is quite far, which is about 15 km, of course he prefers to take public
transportation. Another factor is that David is a lover of public transportation, so he feels
more comfortable while enjoying the beauty of the city of Padang.

With only the Google maps application, David managed to take public transportation and
arrived safely at his destination. David said he was a little afraid at first to take public
transportation because the driver who drove the public transportation was speeding and a
little reckless. But because it's worth the price, only by paying Rp. 5,000 he wants and
indirectly gets a mini city tour bonus.

What are David's tips and tricks to win the competition? “After all, there are winners and
losers in the competition, so just maximize the process, whether you win or lose. Because
something like this can only happen once in a lifetime, so don't let it be a burden, and just see
it as a golden opportunity to do many new things, including meeting friends from various
regions in Indonesia," said David via chat.
