Purpose

As student of Professional English 2, we are require to do a report on a


successful person in our scope of study. After discussing with my group,
we agree to take Mr. Mohd Najmi bin Ali Yunus as our successful person
to be interview. Even though he still consider new to compare with others
big boys, for our group he will be just perfect to become example to others
who like to be as customer service assistant.

His father worked as an officer in a
private company in Puchong and
his mother is a housewife. Born in

Professional and Management College taking Diploma in Aviation
Management collaboration with UTM.

Three years later, after graduated he go back to Kedah and do part


time jobs as cashier at one of the well-known supermarket at Kedah
before decided which company he want to be with. Fortunately he
got call for interview in Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad as
admin officer but he did not get it. Unfortunately, he also refuse to
accept a job from Subang Skypark Sdn Bhd because of the distance
from his home and to make a return trip is very costly and tiring.

Lastly around August 2013, he got a phone call from WCT


Holdings as a Customer Service Assistant. Segi Astana Sdn Bhd is
formed on 1st October 2010 as an incorporated joint venture
company between WCT Holdings Berhad and Malaysia Airports
Holdings Berhad for the development of gateway@klia2. WCT
Group was first established with the incorporation of WCT
Earthworks & Building Contractors Sdn Bhd on 14 January 1981.
WCT Holdings Berhad is an investment holding company with
investment in two main subsidiaries, WCTB and WCT Land Sdn
Bhd which are primarily involved in civil engineering and
construction, property development and investment & management
activities.

Daily Routines

Mr. Najmi daily routine as a Customer Service Assistant is actually


fixed and sometimes the situation is almost the same every day. But
later he can get used to adapt it and happy with his job. This is
because his works is to face people. What people ask or if there are
any problem he need to settle it.

Usually he will refer to the senior staff if the problem need special
attention or he cannot manage by himself. With a proper training
under WCT Holdings, Mr.Najmi has been better in assisting the
passengers and get better in English. He also tell us that there are
enough numbers of signage but many people did not really know
how to use it and the info comprehends in there.

Thus, it is his jobs to show them where is the way that the
passenger should go from the arrival hall but it does not mean that
they do not received complaint that the signage are not really clear
in terms of the directions and they are working for its improvement
time by time to ensure that all passengers or airport users are satisfy

with the airport service.


Problem

As he needs to face countless people every day that need his


assistance no matter from Malaysia or other countries, the
probability of the problem may be about six out of ten passengers.
Some of the problems such as the passengers left their belongings
involuntarily then he need to find it or make a report about the lost.

It is because there are a lot of passengers move around so the


probability that the item will be found by somebody also high and
they may take it or give it back. The other problem is
communication which is not all passengers can speak in Bahasa or
English and to tackle that sometime he call other experience staff.

Conclusion

As to wrap up all this, we realized that all jobs even it is small in


terms of task, but as long as you are really sincere in doing your job
and know what you do, you will feel happy and doing your job
effectively. Apart of that, you will feel blessed and some people
said you will get grant for wealth and success.

We hope that in the future, we can be a successful personnel in


what are we doing whether as an employee or leader. We will
ensure that what we had learn in our entire life will not just a waste
and will practice it.

Appendices
After we have done our interview with Mr Najmi, below are several moments that we had
captured. Although we only can meet him just for a short time, but the inputs that he gave us was
much appreciated and more than what were expected. We also walked around the terminal to
see what are other problem or other interesting thing happen. Unfortunately we do not take a lot
of picture since we are rushing for other task.
