S41 Throttle position sensor

Throttle position sensor check

1. Check the throttle position sensor.

a) Insert gage between stopper bolt and throttle lever.
b) Measure the resistance between sensor terminals 3 - 4 (IDL - E2) as shown in the table.

Throttle position sensor installation

1. Set throttle valve at fully closed position.

2. Set TPS at normal position, turn 45° counterclockwise and fit in throttle body, then turn
clockwise and tighten retaining screws.
