Propagation is the period of time, or delay, involved in sending
your domain's address information to all the various nameservers in
the world. Nameservers intentionally keep track of addresses for
domains in their memory for a specific period of time (defined by
the administrator of the nameserver). This speeds up the process of
looking up an address for a domain name. Unfortunately, this
"cached" information also stays in the nameservers when it has been
changed at the source of the original information (the domain's
registrar).

Nameservers refresh themselves from once an hour to once a day.

Each domain name must have at least two-name servers listed when the
domain is registered. These name servers are commonly named
ns1.servername.com and ns2.servername.com, where servername is the
name of the server.

71. How to make a domain point the web space purchased from HIOX
INDIA or What are the values of the nameservers.
Name servers for HIOX web hosting packages?
This is a commonly asked question, I have purchased a hosting
package from you and have uploaded my files, how to make my domain
name fetch pages from the web space I purchased.

The answer is simple: Name Server

Once you made your hosting purchase from SATHYA Technosoft India
Private Limited, you would have received a mail with Name server
details. Or you can also contact our support team to get your
Nameserver details. Just update those nameservers to your domain and

72. I have registered domain name with SATHYA Technosoft India
Private Limited and pointed to other hosting providers server by
changing the nameservers, but still website is not active why?
The Name Servers once updated will take a time period of 5-24 hours
to propagate in all ISP's. Once domain got propagated and points to
the hosting server, it will run up and fine.

73. How long will the domain propagation process take place?
Propagation is the projected length of time it takes a domain's DNS
(Domain Name System) information to be updated across the entire web
after a change is made. The process can take 24-48 hours to complete
in full. Because of propagation, not all visitors will be directed
to your new name servers on your new hosting account; some visitors
will continue to be directed to your old name servers on your old
hosting account until propagation is complete.

How quickly visitors are directed to the new name servers depends on
their physical location, and internet service provider; it is not
something SATHYA Technosoft India Private Limited has control over.
Once propagation is complete, your site will appear on our server,
and your email will be fully functional.

There is no definitive way to tell when propagation is complete.

During the first 48 hours, even if you can see your site on the new
server, your next-door neighbor might still be visiting the site on
the old server. This depends on three factors: your ISP,
geographical location, and TTL. There are also ways to see the
propagation progress using the websites below. These will show your
website's possible visibility.
