Dear Prof. Dela Cruz:

Greetings of Peace and Harmony! I hope this letter finds you safe and well.

I am Adam Lester E. Patajo, a Part-time Instructor from the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education of Cebu
Technological University—Barili Campus. I am writing this letter to ask your permission and approval to allow me to work
from home, with the proviso that I am to report at the university if deemed necessary.

There are various justifications for my request, for instance, the pandemic had shifted the modality learning towards online
and that we needed stable internet connection. I know for a fact that our school provides a free internet connection,
however, there are instances that it becomes unstable. Fortunately, I have access to an internet connection outside the
university with a reliable speed.

Whereas, the travel time that I will be incurring for traveling can be used to answer students’ queries and concerns. Even
though I am from Barili area, the travel time from my home to the university will take almost an hour (considering my
speed limit) and ongoing road widening. Moreover, the fare from my home to the university, vice versa, is very expensive
and increased at a significant rate.

Whereas, the virus is still active, and that there are still many recorded cases in our country per day. My initiative to have a
work-from-home setup would lessen the likelihood to be contacted, ipso facto, spread the virus. Until such time that our
compatriots will be inoculated with the preferred vaccine and achieve herd immunity, this initiative should be considered for
the welfare of the university, the staff, and the students.

Whereas, I am giving an assurance that I will do my best to fulfill and execute my duties and meet the expectation of the
university, that is, to provide a quality and appropriate education to my students.
