RE: 16TH UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE OF YOUTH

SPONSORSHIP FOR DELEGATES FROM Rwanda

Relevant to the hosting of the United Kingdom to the UN Climate Change

Conference also known as Conference of Parties (COP), we would like to request
for funds to help two delegates from Rwanda to attend the Conference of Youth
that will be held from 28th – 31st October 2021 at Glasgow, Scotland in the United
Kingdom.
COY16 is the official youth precursor event of COP and officially endorsed by the
office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth. COY16 serves as space for
capacity building and policy training to prepare young people for their participation
at COP. Over the years it has gathered thousands of youth from more than 140
countries. This event is under the banner of YOUNGO – the official youth
constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCCC).

Our participation to the event will help to amplify voices of our fellow Rwanda
youths and we promise to create awareness to our societies about all that we will
learn and acquire during the conference. In keeping the diplomatic bond between
U.K and Rwanda as well as supporting climate action initiatives, we are looking
forward to have your support.
As coordinators from Rwanda, we are requesting for support to cover our two
round flight tickets and accommodation, we are able to cover other small
expenses for visa and contingencies.
