1. please explain the correlation between political party and political development in
Indonesia.
Answer:
Political party is the representative of public ideas and participation in public
democracy to shape social development.
Back round of The correlation between political party and political
development started from the independence of Indonesia until now or
reformation era:
• Constitution of Indonesia UUD 1945 not express it to mandatory of
multiparty system but in the practiced Indonesia adopt the multiparty
system that first election in Indonesia in 1955 that so many parties that
get involved that assuming communist party also PNI and many more
that get involve. Means that we rise those what we call as political life
in the democracy. People try so hard to do their version of the
democracy because they adopt one man, one foot and values that time.
• Indonesian new order era under Soeharto that claim the political issues
or political problems before the old order under the Soekarno era that
so many conflict of interest that produce by the so many political
parties, so president Soeharto reduce and minimized the political
parties until become 10 parties, and there are 3 dominant parties in that
time namely P3, PDI and Golkar. But we have to take a look and
concern on the Golkar as the privilege party that established by the
government as the driving maintain to the power at least 32 years. Base
on that situation people ask a question “is it multi or single party that
adopted in the new order era?”. based on the experience that Golkar is
the driving of the government to maintain the powers for a long time,
we have to conquest that based on the historical explanation, the
situation limited people to participation and to contribute to the
political process or to people aspiration. So its quite less development
of the social political development there, based on the implementation
that is it single party and Golker is the only one party that dominant in
that time.
• The reformation era there was the demonstration to demand of the
better political life or political condition in Indonesia to become more
democratic. And what the implication of the reformation era? So many
parties that arise at least 200 parties that rise in that time to participate
in the political life in Indonesia but only 49 political parties that
compete in the general election 1999.
What we can conclude and learned from Indonesia adoption political parties,
implementation of political party and political development that we moved to
the advanced democracy implementation and trying so hard to have it.

2. Government hold the authority and power in order to shape the policy. If you are
government, what will you do through the policy to develop Indonesian economy.
Answer:
1. Identify usual demand and usual supply. If there’s demand for goods
and services. If meet the demand and supply, the economy will grow.
2. Identify or create new taste to foster (encourage) new demand and new
supply. New things, new ideas and innovation leads to new demand
and new supply of goods and services that are important for economic
growth.
3. Take advantages of an enabling environment to foster economic
growth. Taking advantages means investing in businesses,
producing/supplying goods and services in relation to demand. The
surplus goods and services would even be exported. The shortfall can
sometimes be imported. However, there’s need to encourage more
export that imports.
4. Create an enabling environment for economic growth. An enabling
environment is ensuring social, economic, political stability in a nation.
Where there social, economic and political stability; an economy can
grow substantially.

3. Please give your comment related to the issues of government policy “G20 : US
requires Indonesia to exclude Russia from G20 membership”.
Answer:
I believe Indonesia has taken the right decision to still invite Russia and resist
demands from the US and its allies; excluding Russia from the G20 forum
does not appear the best course of action. Here is why:
Russia has been expelled before .
This will not be first time for Russia to be expelled from an international
forum. The Group of Eight (G8) – now the G7 – expelled Russia from the
forum over its annexation of Crimea. This stirred global condemnation, Russia
was hit with economic sanctions and subsequently removed from the G8.
Exclusion from the G20 would mostly be a reputational sanction for Russia,
not a direct sanction, as the country has been mostly cut off from the global
economy anyway. Any exclusion from the G20 would only function to further
deteriorate Russia’s already tarnished global reputation, and will only have
limited economic impact.
Where does Indonesia stand?
This may come as a surprise given Indonesia’s disapproval of military action
in Ukraine and its support for the UN General Assembly’s resolution for the
withdrawal of Russian troops. However, Indonesia’s disapproval of Russia’s
actions does not mean Indonesia supports the position of the Western nations.
This is a high-level task, and it is the responsibility of President Joko “Jokowi”
Widodo to reach out to world leaders from both camps and convince them of
Indonesia’s impartial position. Even if Indonesia cannot manage to handle this
polarisation by November, it can still offer a side-line meeting for Russia-
Ukraine peace talks during the summit, as President Biden has suggested.
G20 as Russia’s way out
In a way, the G20 forum can function as Russia’s way out to avoid prolonging
the war, without losing face. Russia has continuously claimed this war as a
special operation to demilitarise and de-Nazify Ukraine. Demilitarisation of
Ukraine may be plausible, but de-Nazification seems a bit far-fetched; Ukraine
is not a fully democratic country, but it is hardly an autocratic one. Russia is in
a tight spot and pushing Putin to the limit may not end well. Russia is stuck in
a dilemma of continuing the war, with human loss, material damage and
economic recession. Yet, admitting defeat can also mean the weakening – and
perhaps even downfall – of Putin’s regime. Neither scenario is favourable for
him. Therefore, President Putin can use the G20 forum to hold meetings with
other world leaders. This could be a gesture to the world that he wants to end
the war and focus on more crucial issues, such as economic recovery and
climate change.
