4.1 Mengeja uraian Bahasa Inggris sangat sederhana secara tepat dan berterima dengan tanda
baca yang benar yang melibatkan kata, frasa, dan kalimat sederhana.

C. Indicator
 Identify names of animals in the zoo.
 Identify the features of zoo animals.
 Rearrange the sentences to describe zoo animals.
 Match the description of the animals with the names of the animals.
 Write a description of zoo animals in the story clearly and accurately.

D. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to:
1. Identify names of animals in the Zoo.
2. Identify the features of Zoo animals.
3. Rearrange the sentences to describe zoo animals.
4. Match the description of the animals with the names of the animals.
5. Write a description about zoo animals in the story clearly and accurately.

2. Flash cards of zoo animals

5. The features of zoo animals (fur, scale, tusks, trunk, tail, stripes, fang)

G. Learning activities

Pre-activity (10 Minutes)

1. Teacher greets students


“Good morning students”
2. Teacher does a small talk.
“How are you today, how is your feeling?”
3. Teacher checks the attendance.
“Who is absent today?”
4. Teacher asks students the homework.
“Did you have a homework last week from Ms. Anti?.”
5. Teacher asks the students about the song they have learnt last meeting.
“Do you still remember the song last week (Going to the Zoo)?”
6. The teacher tells the students that they are going to write about the animals in the zoo.
“Now, we’re going to review about zoo animals and you’re going to write about your
holiday in the zoo.”

Whilst activity (50 Minutes)


7. Teacher writes the words “Going to the Zoo” on the board.
8. Teacher asks students to read the words on the board.

“Ok, I’d like you to read it together.”
9. Teacher asks students what animals they can see in the zoo.
“What animals can you see in the zoo?”
10. Teacher shows some envelopes consisting animal pictures and tell students that they have
to guess what animal in the envelope is.
“Ok students, I have some envelopes, I’d like you to guess what animals in it.
11. Teacher give clues about the picture will be guessed.
“It’s from Australia, It can jump, …” What animal is it?
12. Students guess the picture.
13. Teacher took out the picture has been guessed and asks students to stick it on the board.
14. Teacher asks students to work in group of five.
“I’d like you to work in group of five.”
15. Teacher gives each group an envelope consists of scrap papers with jumbled sentences.
“I will give each group an envelope and in this envelop consists of scrap papers with
jumbled sentences.”
16. Teacher asks students to rearrange the jumbled sentences into paragraph.
“I’d like you to arrange the jumbled sentences into a good paragraph.”
17. Teacher asks students to put the scrap paper under the correct animal picture.
“After that you have to put it under the correct animal pictures on the board. The group
which does it fast is the winner.”
18. Teacher discusses students’ works together.
19. Teacher asks students to write a story.
“Now, I’d like you to write about your story going to the zoo”
20. Students write a description of the animal in a story using the worksheet provided.
21. Students submit their works.

Post activity (10 Minutes)


22. The teacher asks students what they have learned today by using expression: “So, what
have we learned today?”
23. The teacher closes the class by saying good bye.
