Precautionary Measures to be taken while wiring the Circuit:

 Turn OFF the power to the circuit, when wiring the circuit. Connecting or removing measurement cables
while the power is turned ON is dangerous.
 Take special caution not to wire a current measurement circuit to the voltage input terminal or vice-
versa.
 Strip the insulation cover of the measurement cable so that when it is wired to the input terminal, the
conductive parts (bare wires) do not protrude from the terminal. It is recommended to use appropriate
pre lug after crimping the wire. Also, make sure to fasten the input terminal screws securely so that the
cable does not come loose.
 Use cables with safety terminals that cover the conductive parts for connecting to the voltage input
terminals. Using a terminal with bare conductive parts is dangerous if the terminal comes loose.
 After connecting the measurement cable, attach the current input protection cover for your safety. Make
sure that the conductive parts are not exposed from the protection cover.
 Use the suitable star screw driver and apply optimum torque to prevent damage to the meter terminals.

Description:
MB0DE is a digital advanced dual source meter for energy (Wh or VAh), power and other relevant

electrical parameters. The device is able to measure and register the energy from two different sources
(Main or generator). MB0DEP also includes a RS-485 Modbus/RTU communication port. In addition,
displays the consumed energy (Wh or VAh) with reverse energy lock option from two different sources.
Those are specially designed to be installed on single or three-phase (delta or star) AC networks.

3
Applications:
MB0DE and MB0DEP are able to distinguish the consumed energy (Wh or VAh) from the main or from a
generator also registering working hours from each one. Furthermore, the devices register the current and
OLD energy stored in its internal memory. MB0DEP offers RS-485 communication with Modbus/RTU
protocol to be connected to any Modbus SCADA software to monitor and control all the electrical
parameters. The devices have a 4-digit (for instantaneous values) or 6-digit (for energy) digital display with
auto scaling and 2 separate rows to indicate the following parameters:

 For electrical parameter measurement in areas whose reduced dimensions require the installation of a
space-saving panel analyzer.
 Instantaneous value measurement of electrical parameters with communications.
 Logging of consumed Active or Reactive Energy.
 Energy measurement of two different sources on 2 separate registers (by auxiliary source).

In order to use the device safely, it is critical that individuals who handle it
follow the
safety measures set out in the standards of the country where it is being used,
using the personal protective equipment necessary (rubber gloves, face
protection and approved
flame-resistant clothing) to prevent injuries due to electric shock or electric arc
as a consequence of exposure to current-carrying conductors and paying
attention to the various warnings indicated in this instruction manual.
