Meet Manish Jain – a Rajasthan-based seller, who chose the road not taken by his family and started a spice export
business from India. “So many herbs, so many spices – that’s what I love about India,” the founder of Herbs &
Crops Overseas proudly says. While his family had an electronic business, Manish knew he wanted to take Indian
taste to the world with his brand. Through ecommerce exports, he could achieve this in a seamless manner.
“Starting from a 200 sq. ft office space to a 200% profitable spices export business in the UK and Japan, Amazon
Global Selling has helped me achieve my dreams,” he adds.
Manish identified that Indian herbs and spices are very indigenous to the country and their demand in the global
market is growing, courtesy its natural benefits and use in Ayurveda. Add to that – the ease of commerce exports
programs like Amazon Global Selling, which enable thousands of businesses reach international customers.
Like Manish, there are many Indian sellers who have been successfully exporting spices and selling it on Amazon
international marketplaces like USA, UAE, UK, and more. This story also stands as a testimony for the growing
spices export from India.
India produces about 75 of the 109 varieties of spices listed by the International Organization for Standardization

value make spices a top export product from India. With organic Indian farming gaining prominence across the
globe, India has now become the world’s largest exporter and producer of spices. India exported spices worth US$
3.62 billion in the year 20202.
