Proven and profitable niches for online products

efore you can even make your first dollar online, you’re
faced with one of the most important decisions: what niche
should you be in? In case you’ve never heard of a “niche”
before, here’s the best definition I’ve ever seen for it: “A niche
market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is
focused.”
The key thing here is that a niche is a subset of the market. Too many people jump
into business (whether that be online or offline) and assume that their product or
service will appeal to the entire market (read: the entire world!). In fact, the way to
truly make money in business is to operate within a subset of the market. Rather than
launching a vitamin for the entire world, smart – and profitable – companies launch
vitamins for specific niches. One vitamin might be for weight loss, but another might
be for building muscle. These are subsets of the entire market, and I’ve never seen a
product that spans the entire market. (Maybe toilet paper!)
The below list of 175 niches is intended to get your thought process going. This isn’t
the end-all-be-all of niches, nor is it a very specific list of niches. In fact, in many cases
I’d recommend niching down even further (for example, in the weight loss niche I
would encourage you to niche down further, such as “weight loss after pregnancy” or
“weight loss ahead of your wedding”).

withstood the test of time and have proven to be profitable, so find something that
you are passionate and knowledgeable about and dive in!
