QUESTIONS:

1. Which presentation tool/s in your activity sheet do you consider the most useful for
your chosen track/strand? Why? (There could be one or more presentation tool that you
can choose)
As an ABM student, Microsoft PowerPoint is the most useful presentation for
me in relation to my strand, as I could present data when needed in one of our
specialized subjects like applied economics. Precisely, applied economics has lessons
that need graphical presentation, such as a pie graph to show the population or rate of
employed, unemployed, and underemployed individuals; and a line graph to show the
inflation rate. In addition, we also need to present how we compute inflation rate
which is more likely to be showed using excel sheets in Microsoft PowerPoint.

2. Evaluate a website related to your track/strand, explain how the principles of graphic
design were utilized in the website.

Balance

This principle is utilized in a manner

that is consistent with the website’s theme
color. As we could see in the picture, the
one in solid red is highlighted whereas it
also highlighted the other three on the
lighter side, but it is not really the primary
focus of this part of the website.
Emphasis

This principle is utilized by highlighting which part of the website you are in.
For example, now I am in the Motor category, and it was highlighted among other
categories in a reddish font.

Movement

On this website, it is really

normal to see some videos or
movements from the products that are
being presented or from how you swipe
down.
Pattern, Repetition and Rhythm

The pattern is utilized in this website in a way of presenting the products in a

box and rectangular form. Even though those products were different, again, it is the
pattern that matters, and those were repeated three times.

Proportion

Not necessarily in the website itself, but the

logo of the product is where this proportion is
utilized. We could the three figures that initially
form a heart figure.

Variety

The variety is utilized as an advertisement to get people’s

attention about their promos and discounts. It is playful and
at the same time appealing.
