1. The American Society of Psychology and Law states that “the field of psychology and law
suggest the application of scientific and professional aspects of psychology to questions and
issues related to law and the legal system”. (A.P.A. 2019)
a) According to you, how are these two subjects related? Explain the objectives and goals of
the subject psychology.
b) What are the different branches and fields of the psychology 5+5=10

2. “Insights and social psychology in legal contexts is also important because it shows how
important societal institutions can impact human behaviour’-
a) What are the concept of social psychology and explain any one research method of social
psychology.
b) Explain the historical perspective of social psychology. 5+5=10

3. Jack is a 7 year old male Grade1 student who lives in Toronto with his parents, he is the only
child to his two parents. Jack describes difficulties with focussing and sitting in class. He
recognises that he is able to ‘hyper focus’ on some activities of interest, however he often has
difficulty sustaining his attention at school. His parents and teachers indicate that Jack is
restless. He is described as ‘constantly running around’ and presenting with difficulties
listening and following routines and remembering instructions. 5+5=10
a) According to you what type of psychological problems Jack has? Explain the etiology and
causes of this psychological problem.
b) What are the treatments for these particular psychological problems?
4. Examine a 16.5 years old adolescent who engages in fire setting, severe aggression and self
injurious and impulsive behaviour. He was treated with Mode Deactivation Therapy (MDT)
and Diabetic Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
a) What type of psychological problem this adolescent is facing? If this type of problem is
not treated initially, what type of psychotic problem will he face in his adult age?
b) What are the important treatments and therapies that can be provided to control this
type of behaviour? 5+5=10
5. Sexual crime is very alarming in most of the countries and India is not exception to it. As per
National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), MHA, Government of India data, every day ninety
three women are being raped in the country. In one case, a girl of 20 years age was found
lying dead in an abandoned place. The incident was reported to the police and investigating
officer along with forensic team visited the undisturbed violent crime scene to study the crime
scene behaviour. 6+4=10
a) From the above case report, how will you define Criminal Psychology? What are the
concepts of criminal psychology? 3+3=6
b) Describe from the above case report what are the roles and functions of forensic
psychology. 4
6. Curtis and his partner Emma both have experience of custody and drug dependence. Emma’s
mother helps them look after their children. 5+5=10
a) What type of crime a young adult can do like Curtis and Emma.
b) What are the treatments and how to control these types of activities?
