What is Aqeedah? ‫عقیدہ کیا ہے‬

• Aqeedah is Knowledge!
• A set of beliefs, that one’s heart is fixed Fire burns!
upon, without any wavering or doubt. ‫می ہوتا ہ‬ ‫عقیده علم ہ‬
‫عقیده دل ر‬
• Aqeedah refers to those matters which
are believed in, with certainty and ‫می آپ کو کون‬
‫وه بات جس ےک بارے ر‬
conviction, in one’s heart and soul. ‫شک نہ ہو‬
• They are not tainted with any doubt or
uncertainty.

• If the seed is wrong or unhealthy or diseased, the tree will not grow.
Comparison of Aqeedah to the Seed
• If the Aqeedah is wrong or corrupt or diseased, then one can not
become a true believer. • Aqeedah is the seed of the believer.
• If the seed is not of the date palm or if it
is unhealthy or diseased, the tree will
not grow.

or diseased, then one can not become a

Aqeedah & Emaan Example ‫عقیدہ اور ائمان‬

Aqeedah and Emaan

"Eemaan is not Emaan except if the Aqeedah is correct. And if the

Aqeedah is not correct, then there is no Eemaan, and (there is) no
deen (religion)."
(Fataawa as-Siyaasah ash-Shar'iyyah, Question-1 Dr Swalih Faiwzaan)

‫نہی ہ سوائ اس ےک کہ عقیده درست ہو۔ اور اگر عقیده درست نہ ہو تو ایمان ر‬

"‫ہ اور نہ یہ کون دین ہ۔‬ • ‫عقیدہ بیٹری ہے۔‬

• You need both to operate the toy!

• ! ‫آپ کو کھلونا چالنے کے لیے دونوں کی ضرورت ہے‬

Emaan ‫االإئمان‬ Aqeedah and Emaan ‫عقیده اور ایمان‬

‫جاتا ہے اور اور وہ اپنے رب پر بھروسہ رکھتے ہیں‬

‫‪The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have‬‬
‫‪believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His‬‬
‫]‪messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final‬‬
‫‪Pillars of Faith‬‬ ‫)‪destination.(2:285‬‬

‫مومنی بیھ۔ یہ سب ہللا پر اور اس ےک فرشتوں اور اس‬ ‫رسول اس پر ایمان ےل آئ جو ان پر ان ےک رب یک طرف ےس نازل ہوت اور‬
‫ے‬ ‫ے‬ ‫ے‬
‫یک کتابوں اور اس ےک رسولوں پر ایمان الئ ہی‪[ ،‬یہ کہت ہوئ] کہ ہم اس ےک رسولوں می ےس کیس می کوت فرق نہی کرئ۔‬

‫اور وہ کہت ہی کہ ہم ئ سنا اور مان لیا‪ ،‬اے ہمارے رب‪ ،‬اور تیی یہ طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہ (‪)2:285‬‬

‫‪Hadith e Jibreel‬‬ ‫‪ :‬عمر بن الخطاب ز‬

‫رض ہللا عنہ بیان کرئ ہی‬

‫ز‬ ‫ے‬
‫رضي الله عنه‪Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab :‬‬ ‫سامن ایک‬ ‫ہوئ تھے کہ ہمارے‬ ‫ایک دن ہم رسول ہللا صیل ہللا علیہ وسلم ےک پاس بیٹھے‬
‫کیے بہت زیادہ سفید اور اس ےک بال بہت کاےل تھے۔ اس پر سفر ےک آثار‬ ‫آدیم آیا جس ےک ڑ‬
‫نظر نہی آئ تھے اور ہم می ےس ے‬
‫کوت اےس نہی جانتا تھا۔ وہ اٹھ کر نب ےک پاس بیٹھ گیا۔ ز‬
‫‪One day while we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah there appeared before us a man whose clothes were‬‬ ‫اپت‬ ‫ی‬
‫‪exceedingly white and whose hair was exceedingly black; no signs of journeying were to be seen on him and none of us‬‬ ‫اپب رانوں پر رکھت ہوئے‬
‫اپت ہاتھوں یک ہتھیلیوں کو ز‬
‫سامن رکھ کر اور ز‬
‫ز‬ ‫گھٹنوں کو اس ےک‬
‫‪knew him. He walked up and sat down by the prophet. Resting his knees against his and placing the palms of his hands‬‬ ‫اے محمد مجھے اسالم ےک بارے می بتاؤ۔ ‪:‬فرمایا‬
‫”‪on his thighs, he said: “O Muhammad, tell me about Islam.‬‬
‫‪ :‬رسول ہللا صیل ہللا علیہ وسلم ز‬
‫ئ فرمایا‬
‫‪ said:‬صلی الله علیه وسلم) ‪The Messenger of Allah‬‬ ‫اسالم اس بات یک گوایہ دینا ہ کہ ہللا ےک سوا ے‬
‫‪Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammed is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers, to pay‬‬ ‫کوت معبود نہی اور محمد ہللا ےک رسول ہی‪،‬‬
‫نماز پڑھنا‪ ،‬ز ٰ‬
‫کوۃ ادا کرنا‪ ،‬رمضان ےک روزے رکھنا اور استطاعت ہو تو بیت ہللا کا حج کرنا۔‬
‫‪the zakat, to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so.‬‬
‫ئ ٹھیک کہا’’ ‪ :‬اس آدیم ز‬ ‫ئ اس ےس پوچھا اور کہا کہ ‘‘تم ز‬
‫گن کہ اس ز‬‫اور ہم حیان رہ ے‬
‫‪The man said: “You have spoken rightly,” and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly.‬‬ ‫ئ کہا‬
‫”‪Then he said: “Tell me about Iman (faith).‬‬ ‫ئ ٹھیک کہا۔ پھر فرمایا‬‫مجھے ایمان ےک بارے می بتاؤ۔ ‪ :‬اس ز‬

‫‪ said:‬صلی الله علیه وسلم) ( ‪The Prophet‬‬ ‫‪:‬نب کریم صیل ہللا علیہ وسلم ز‬
‫ئ فرمایا‬ ‫ی‬
‫‪It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the‬‬
‫‪good and the evil thereof.‬‬ ‫ہللا‪ ،‬اس ےک فرشتوں‪ ،‬اس یک کتابوں‪ ،‬اس ےک رسولوں اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان النا اور تقدیر‬
‫ے‬ ‫ٰ‬
‫الیہ پر‪ ،‬اس یک اچیھ اور برات دونوں پر ایمان النا ہ۔‬

Between the first heaven and the one above it is (a distance of) five hundred years.
Between each of the heavens is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between the

Kursiy and the water is (a distance of) five hundred years, and the Throne is above

‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him)
reported: "The seven heavens and the seven earths in the
palm of the Most Merciful are no more than a mustard seed
in the hand of one of you."

Where is Allah? Arsh – The Throne of Allah

Attribute of Allah

• The first thing that Allah created was the Throne

Allah is above the Seventh Heaven Over His Throne
