SUBJECT: SCHEDULE OF RADIO OPERATOR’S EXAMINATION FOR THE

YEAR 1992

Pursuant to existing radio laws and regulations, it is hereby issued the schedule of
examinations for radio operators’ certificates and permits of all classes to be given by the
National Telecommunications Commission Radio Operators’ Examination Committee
(ROEC) at the places and on the dates specified below:

I. SPECIAL EXAMINATIONS

A. SCHEDULE AND SCOPE

Special examinations for the following shall be held every first Saturday of the Month
starting February 1992 at the Ramon Magsaysay High School, Cubao, Quezon City or at
some other designated venue:

1. Any one examination element that will qualify holders of a valid third or
second class commercial operator certificate to the next higher class of
certificate.
2. Amateur Radio Operator’s Certificate (All Classes)
3. Radioteletype Operator’s Permit
4. Morse Code Removal Examinations for Second and Third Class
Radiotelegraph Operator’s Certificates.
5. Government Radio Operator’s Certificate.

The following examinations shall be given every Wednesday starting January 1992 at the
NTC Central Office:

1. Restricted Ship Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate

2. Restricted Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate
3. Ship Low Power Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit
4. General Operator Certificate (INMARSAT and GMDSS Qualifying
Examination for Deck Officers and Radio Operators)
5. First Class Radiotelegraph Code Removal

In the interest of the service and upon request, this Commission may be likewise conduct
special examinations in other places and on the dates to be designated upon prior of the
Commissioner provided there will be at least 300 examinees or compelling reasons for
such examinations.

B. DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Applications for the monthly (every first Saturday) examinations must be filed at least
two (2) weeks before the date of examination unless otherwise specified.

Applications for the weekly (every Wednesday) examinations must be filed on the Friday
preceeding the date of examination unless otherwise specified.

The herein schedule examinations shall be conducted by the Radio Operators’

Examination Committee in accordance with the guidelines set forth in Department Order
No. 80 series of 1971 and other instructions and guidelines pertaining to the conduct of
examinations.

This circular supersedes Memorandum Circular No. 11-19-90 and shall be effective from
01 January 1992 to 31 December 1992 unless otherwise amended or superseded.
