Identify and describe components of an advanced home writing system.

Advanced home wiring system is a system that has been widely used nowadays. Such system
is deemed significant and important in the act of integrating the control and management
functions of a specific home’s subsystems. These subsystems comprise the communication
subsystem, entertainment subsystem, home office subsystem, environmental control and
energy management subsystem, and security and property protection subsystem. This so-called
advanced home wiring system does have typically three major components. These components
include the service center, universal multiuse outlets, and high performance cabling. The
service center basically serves as the integral and central part of the system. This service center
functions on accepting the incoming services like cable TV, telephone, digital satellite
transmission, and Internet services. This service center is not only designed for the function of
accepting all incoming communication services but it is also designed to distribute these
services to the designated locations where these services should be received all throughout the
home. This important functions of the service center are the reasons why it was sometimes
being referred to as the central hub or the distribution center. Another component of the
advanced home wiring system is the universal multiuse outlets. From the name itself, universal
multiuse outlets, one can say that these are outlets that are flexible and can be customized
based on the needs of the consumer in terms of acquiring a specific service that he/she desires
for that specific room or part of the building. These outlets are designed to be customized and
be changed every time there is a change that the homeowner wishes to be done on his home’s
wiring system. The third component of an advanced home wiring system is high performance
cabling. Another thing that makes the advanced home wiring system special is that it uses high-
performance cables. These high performance cables include the CAT 5 UTP copper wire and
coaxial cable, which are capable of performing a more advantageous functions over other kinds
of cables. The aforementioned components of the advanced home wiring system are of great
value for such kind of wiring system for without these components, the advanced home wiring
system wouldn’t be considered effective and efficient.
How does the electrical equipment (e.g. motors, generators, and so on) affect
telecommunication signals?
Electrical equipment, in accordance with its definition provided by the lawinsider.com, generally
refers to any appliance, article, accessory, wire, fitting, cable, conduit or apparatus that
generates, uses, conveys or controls (or that is intended to, or has been used to, generate, use,
convey or control) electricity operating above extra low voltage. Electrical equipment, being
related to electricity, is capable of producing a significant and powerful electromagnetic field.
This act of producing an electromagnetic field by an electrical equipment is due to the fact that
electrical equipment uses and generates electrical current flow, thus, allowing this electrical
current flow to produce an electromagnetic field surrounding the specific electrical conductor.
This electromagnetic field produced by an electrical current flow would somewhat affect the
telecommunication signals in a sense that there is an electromagnetic interference. This
electromagnetic interference happens when a telecommunication cable is placed within an
electromagnetic field. This literally means that an electromagnetic interference would kind of
capable of occurring when a telecommunication cable is placed and run adjacent and parallel to
any of the electrical cables. Hence, to avoid electromagnetic interference to happen and for
telecommunication signals to be not affected, telecommunication cables should be placed and
routed away from electrical equipment, should be routed separately from electrical cables per
se.

Explain the concept of sustainability.

We, people, are surrounded by lots of resources provided by our mother nature. In order for us,
humans, to thrive and survive, lots of natural resources are being provided for us. These natural
resources could either be renewable resources or non-renewable resources. These natural
resources include air, water, light, plants, animals, minerals, fossil fuels, and the likes. As years
passed by, these natural resources especially the non-renewable resources are being put into
depletion. Some people tend to consume our natural resources excessively, there is
overconsumption per se. This overconsumption of natural resources would somewhat cause
serious problems that may affect the lives of all of us thriving here on earth. Our population is
increasing rapidly and there might be a tendency that some of our natural resources will be
totally depleted if we, people, don’t know the concept of sustainability. Sustainability, in
accordance to how it was being defined, our ability to meet and provide our daily needs at the
same time protecting our environmental, economic, and societal systems that we have here on
Earth. Before using any kind of natural resources, we should always take into consideration the
effect that it would bring to our environment, we should always think of the risks and threats that
our specific actions might be posed to environmental health. Sustainability is basically about
consuming our natural resources in a wise and efficient manner. We should always think of the
future generations to come, we should always think of our younger generations, that we have to
make it sure that they’ll have their natural resources to consume in their generation, hence, we
should avoid excessive use of natural resources, overconsumption per se. We, people, are the
stewards of nature and the condition of our future environment basically lies on our hands. The
condition of our nature in the near future depends on us. Being the stewards of nature, we
should always put in our hearts and minds and we should give importance to the concept of
sustainability for it is only through this concept that we’ll be able to maintain the condition of our
environment that we have right now and through this we’ll be able to sustain our natural
resources for our future generation’s consumption.

Describe a rainwater collection/harvesting system.

Rainwater is a relatively clean, safe and reliable water. The fact that it is clean, safe and reliable
makes one think that rainwater can be used for potable consumption. Rainwater serves different
purposes. One can use rainwater to water the pants and one can even use rainwater to flush
the toilets. Rainwater can also be used in garden irrigation. Aside from these three purposes of
rainwater, there are still many benefits and uses that we can get from rainwater. Rainwater does
serve multiple purposes, thus, by way collecting such rainwater yield significant and positive
impact in terms of water sustainability. Rainwater collection/harvesting system is an efficient yet
effective method or way of collecting rainwater. Such system is designed to of course collect
rainwater, from the name itself, and retain this rainwater for future use. This rainwater
collection/harvesting system does have five components. The components of this rainwater
collection/harvesting system includes a catchment area, conveyance devices (e.g., gutters,
conductors, and downspouts), filters, storage tanks, and distribution systems. During the time
when it is raining, rainwater is being collected in the catchment area. The collected rainwater is
being transported to the cistern with the aid of gutters and downspouts. Gutter is a horizontal
surface water collection channel that runs along the eaves of a building roof which collects
rainwater and diverts it away from the structure. The water collected by the gutter will go to the
downspout. A downspout is pipe that carries rainwater from the gutter into the storage tank.
These components of a rainwater collection/harvesting system are deemed important and play
significant functions in collecting rainwater as a way to sustain water. Without the
aforementioned components, the rainwater collection/harvesting system would be as effective
and efficient as it should be. A lack of component would consider such system as a failure and
ineffective.
