 Today we will learn about
2d and 3D shapes
WILF (What I’m looking for):
 I am looking to see how students
will compare 2D and 3D shapes.
TIBS:
This is because students will find the
things of 2D and 3D shapes.

Introduction:
 Students to be asked to open page 116 of rising star textbook and 10mi
discuss. n
 They will be told that 2d shapes are flat and 3d shapes are having
many faces.
 Star 1
 Before starting star 1 show some 2D and 3D shapes to them
and differentiate it.
 They will ask to look at star 1 tell the thing that is same and
tell the thing that is different to differentiate between 2D and
3D shapes.
 Star 2 20mi
 They will be told the properties of 3d shapes n
 They will be given some ball and 3d shapes in groups and
ask them to make a tower, after few second u will notice
that all the 3d shapes fall down because they all having
many face.
Enhanced resources:
They will be shown food container

Wrap up:
 Exit slips to be given to them and ask to draw any 1 3D shape 4min
thing available in the class.

3min
Assessment:
Student will be assessed while asking different questions related to the
lesson according to their names.

faces.
 First they need to look at the shapes and choose once that
have square faces.
 Try to ensure that they do not simply choose cubes but look
for cuboids with square ends
 They will be given 3d shapes and ask them to build a tower
