Abstract

The study focused of the use of technology in new normal education among ict student in

the Far East College of information and technology during the school year of 2021 - 2022. Grade

11 and 12 students taking online class using of technology in the new education system and we

selected using a stratified random samplings technique based on the result of the study.

The study employed a descriptive- quantitative, design, percentage, mean, standard

deviation and we make a self made questionnaire and were used to know the uses of technology

in new normal education in the students.

The study show that the most of the participants they know the uses of technology in their

academic and they know on what is their responsibility in education purposes and furthermore,

the study will guide future researchers to acquire knowledge about the rights of the uses of

technology in new normal.

In addition, the uses of the technology was gain some new knowledge to the learners. And this

study can recommended to the future researchers to continous the improvement of the

technology.

Introduction

Digital technologies can shift the traditional role of teacher and student both within and outside

the classroom. Teachers can use digital technologies to connect people with each other and to

new information, ideas, and perspectives. Students have access to mass information and many

perspectives.

The effective use of digital learning tools in classrooms can increase student engagement, help

teachers improve their lesson plans, and facilitate personalized learning.

Patricio Rodríguez, Miguel Nussbaum, Lioubov Dombrovskaia Technology, Pedagogy and

Education (2012) currently, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in

education does not conclusively demonstrate significant effects on learning. However, not all

ICT usage models are designed to affect student outcomes.

Castro Sanchez and Aleman (2011) indicate that students are now more frequently engaged in

the meaningful use of computers. They build new knowledge through accessing, selecting,

organizing, and interpreting information and data. Based on learning through ICT, students are

more capable of using information and data from various sources, and critically assessing the

quality of the learning materials.

Technology has helped student willingness and engagement and allows for the enhancements of

learning. According to Fisher, et al. (2014),

Through the use of technology inside and outside the classroom, students can gain 21st-century

technical skills necessary for future occupations.

Students are often bombarded with information in a classroom which they must quickly attempt

to process and make sense of. However, this can leave them feeling overwhelmed and confused

by concepts. Technology provides students with access to countless online resources,

encouraging them to carry out research and therefore become more independent. It also

simplifies learning by making concepts more digestible, for example through an instructional

video. It is important to recognize that there are various learning styles and traditional education

may not be catering to them all.

This study aims to investigate the student's views on using technology and its effect on

communication/interaction. It is to evaluate the impact of using technology from ICT students

and to give some ideas for the ICT student of Far East College of Information and Technology

and to impart some knowledge on what is the purpose of the technology.

Conceptual Framework

The research aims to determine the impact of technology in students. This research explain by

the paradigm of the study. The color red represent the profile of the respondents and the color

green represent the technology in new normal education, Lastly, the color orange represents the

uses of technology in new normal education among ICT students.

Hypothesis

There is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the uses of

technology of technology in the new normal education.

Significance of the Study

The researchers provided a brief description to the various significance of the study given the

three categories of the people. To the Readers: This research will provide a further knowledge

about the uses of technology from students in ICT. To the students: This research will engage the

students to find out what can happen to the technology. To the Future Researchers: This research

will benefit and help the future researchers as a guide or basis for their research in making

improvement or continuation to this research.

Scope and Delimitation

The study will be conducted from 2021 until 2022 during the academic school year 2021-2022 to

determine the uses of using technology from student in ICT.

Methods

Participants

The participants of this study will consist of 30 participant’s students in Far East College

information and Technology Corp. The researchers will use the availability sampling technique.

The participants of this study will be based on the availability of the participants on the said

location.

Self-made questionnaires will be utilized in this research. In doing this research, the researchers

will make a questionnaire that will be answered by the participants. It will be used as a major

instrument in the collection of desired information.

Procedure

The researchers will present a letter of permission to the school before distributing the

questionnaires to the participants. Then the questionnaires will be given to the participants via

sending in messenger. The researchers will gather the data that will be collected from the

questionnaires and correlate them. Afterwards, the data will be analyzed and interpreted by the

researchers.

TABLE 1.1 Shows the age of the participants ranging 16 to 26 years old, based on the results

most of the participants reveals that almost 66.666 % percent of the respondents are in the age

bracket of 16 and 18 years old compared to only 23.3333% percent in the age of 17 years old and

the 3.3333% percent belonged to the 20, 23 and 26.

Table 1.2 Shows the sex of participants, the findings of the study reveals that most of the

participants are Female with 60% or 18 out of 30, while the male participants are only 12 with a

total percentage of 40%.

Table 2. Reflects the opinion of the ICT students among the new normal education according to

the participants opinion, ICT students are students at Far East College of Information and

Technology that have different opinion. With the percentage of 26.67% Male participants most

stated that they know the use of technology for their assignments 20% Female participants have

seen impact of the new normal among education.

Conclusion

The following conclusion were derived from the findings of the study. Finding revealed that: a.)

The profile of the participants; a 1 sex, most of the participants are Female;a.2 age, most of the

participants are 16 and 18 years of age: and b.) The opinion of participants towards The uses of

technology in new normal education among ICT students; c.) On how the students prefer to use

technology to do their assignments. Know the participants stated that they will use them well like

others while 5 out of 30 prefer to use technology to know the important announcement. d.) Lastly

the participants are using the technology for their less struggles in school work.

Recommendation
The researchers discovered and was able to answer the following significance of the said: a.)

After the study the students will get more knowledge about the technology in new normal

education b.) To the community the people will have a familiarity in recognizing the technology

among education c.) for the students in ICT, they need this to guide themselves d.) moreover, the

teachers may use this as a guide to provide an activity for their students e.) furthermore, the

study will guide future researchers to acquire knowledge about the rights of the uses of

technology in new normal.
