Activity Design

RATIONALE:
Republic Act No. 10742 or Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 provides that every
barangay, municipality, city and province shall conduct an annual activity to be known as the
Linggo ng Kabataan on the week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International
Youth Day.

Adolescence is one of the most rapid and formative phases of human development, and the
distinctive physical, cognitive, social and emotional and sexual development that takes place
during adolescence.Furthermore, Adolescent Health has recently been given focus due to the
ever- growing health development issue of the young people faced such as early pregnancy,
sexually transmitted infection including HIV and AIDS, substance abuse,violence depression and
mental illness. Like other group of people from all-age group, they should be given every
opportunity to realize their rights to attain the highest standard of health. However, adolescent
avoid seeking help from healthcare provide and facilities when faced with barriers such as
crowding facilities, unsupported and judgemental healthcare providers and people.

OBJECTIVES:
For the Katipunan ng Kabataan members aged 15 – 30 years old to:
 To aim to lessen the incidents of health related and drug related problems
 to discover the precaution to all health concerns to be tackled
 to develop awareness on how alarming the drug addiction is
 to facilitate activities that will develop health and drug awareness

PARTICIPANTS
The Linggo ng Kabataan shall be attended by KK members and Guests from City Social
Welfares Office(s) ,City Health Office and Philippine National Police Station 3.

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS:
An amount of Twelve thousand four hundred fifty six pesos (12,456.00) chargeable
against SK funds will be expended to cover the following:

Meal: 70 pax x Php 170.00 x 1 day = 11,200.00

The conduct of the Linggo ng Kabataan shall be the responsibility of the Sangguniang Kabataan.
