Sub: Conduct of CAT examinations (Applicable for all UG students (including 3-year B.Sc. Fashion) admitted in
the academic year 2020-21 except Law & BBA)

• As per norms, internal assessments will include two Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT – I and
CAT – II). This is in addition to the digital assignments, quizzes, group discussions, seminars,
and other activities, as per the requirement of the course.
• Details of internal assessments will be available in VTOP for the course as informed by the
faculty.
• CAT- I and CAT- II will be conducted in physical mode.
• Schedule for CAT -I and CAT – II is given below. Slot-based schedule is followed for all
programmes.
• Duration for both CAT -I and CAT – II will be 90 minutes and will be for a maximum of 50 marks.
However, as per regulation, the weightage for CAT – I and CAT – II is 15%, each.
• Soft skill Exam will be conducted through Moodle/Examly.
• Only those students who meet the minimum attendance criteria will be permitted to take CAT
I/II. Marks will not be considered even if the debarred student attempts the continuous
assessment tests. That will be considered just as a practice test.
• As per norms, 9.0 pointers are exempted from minimum attendance criteria.
• For calculating the eligibility, attendance will be considered till 25-08-2022 for CAT-I and 06-10-
2022 for CAT-II. Debar information will be available on VTOP on 26-08-2022 and 07-10-2022,
for CAT-I and CAT-II, respectively.
• All rules and regulations notified in previous semesters, are applicable for CAT examinations.
• RECAT will be permitted only under valid grounds and whenever RECAT is approved, only the
RECAT marks/ status will be retained.
