EUTHENICS 1

MODULE 3

The 3rd week in Euthenics I is about academic policies. This includes admission, pre-

requisite of courses, student load among others. It also includes the policies of absences

and its corresponding penalties and sanctions.

This module 3 takes 1 hour for the week.

Course Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the week, the students should be able to:

C1. Determine the policies and procedures to recognize the values expected from the

University students and staff..

C2. Identify the different academic requirements needed for the completion of students'

respective programme.

C6. Examine the various students’ misconduct and violations and evaluate their

corresponding academic penalties

Admission Requirements

Application requirements:

First Year Undergraduate Students

1. Completely filled out application form

2. Original secondary school certificate or equivalent/ A level certification from Ministry of

Education.

3. Four (4) recent passport-size photographs.

4. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport or at least 2 valid ID cards.

6. Official receipt for a nonrefundable fee of BD25.00

7. Certificate of Good Moral Character from last school attended

8. TOEFL/ IELTS certificates, if any, with good results

First Year Graduate Students

1. Completely filled out application form

2. Original Secondary School certificate w/ English translation/ A level certification from

MOE.

3. Transcript of Records from any accredited university in Bahrain/ outside with English

translation (stamped by Min of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin) and MOE from the

Kingdom of Bahrain.

4. Photocopy of passport with 2 valid ID cards

5. Official receipt for a nonrefundable fee of BD 50.000

6. TOEFL/ IELTS certificates, if any, with good results

For Undergraduate Transfer Students

1. Completely filled application form

2 Official Transcript of Records (TOR) from previous university.

3. Course description for all completed course for which transfer credit is sought

(authenticated by Registrar from originating university)

4. Certificate of Transfer from university previously attended

5. Certificate of Good Moral Character from previous university

6. Four (4) recent passport size photos

7. A photocopy of the applicants passport


8. A copy of applicant’s CPR or 2 valid ID.

Attendance Policy

1. A student is not allowed to incur absences without a valid reason (more than 20%). Any

student in violation will be given a mark of “D”.

2. A student is dropped due to violation of attendance policy will not be allowed to sit in the

final examinations.

3. An acceptance of valid excuse will not nullify the absences but will cancel penalties

imposed for absence on quiz, term exam, submission of projects, etc (refer to make up

exam policy

4. Warnings are issued to student regardless of reason for absences.

5. A student will receive warnings from his/ her teacher when absences reached 10% or

before 20% have been reached for a given subject.

Tardiness:

6. A student who arrives late for 15 minutes will be marked as “Late Attendance”

7. One day Absent for 4 Late attendances in a given subject.
