What is Scratch?
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create
your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art
and share your creations on the web
Creating a Sratch Account
1. Go to https://scratch.mit.edu/ and click ‘Gabung’

2. Fill up the form, create a username and password

3. Choose your Country, please select ‘Indonesia’

4. Insert your birthdate

5. Choose your gender

7. Done!

Confirming Your Account
To be able to use most of the features you need to confirm you
Scratch account through your registered email.
1. Click the ‘Confirm your email’ on your homepage

2. You will find this dialog box, check your mail inbox also the spam folder. If there’s
no confirmation mail choose ‘Kirim ulang konfirmasi’

3. Checking your inbox

4. Click, ‘Confirm my Acount’

5. Done! Please click ‘Ayo Mulali’ and you will be directed to your homepage

6. If, the confirmation email doesn’t show like mentioned in step 2, please
follow the instruction to click ‘Kirim ulang konfirmasi’and you will be directed
to this page, fill up your password and check your email, don’t forget to
check the spam folder.

7. After you found the confirmation mail then follow the instruction number 3 to 4

Creating a Project
To create a project you can use your scratch studio online or offline. If you
choose to make an online project then you just go to your homepage and
click ‘Buat’ if your choose to make it on offline studio then you have to install
the application first.
Installing Scratch to Your Computer
1. Download the application, you can find it on the link below:
2. Wait until the download is finished, double click on the item titled ‘Scratch
3.18.1 Setup’ and you will find this dialog box

3. Choose ‘For anyone …’ then click install. Your installation process will
begun and when it is finished you can start using your scratch directly!
4. Start your scratch studio! Here’s the look of your scratch page both offline
or online.

Uploading Project to Scratch Studio

To be able to upload your homework project to your class online


studio you can follow these steps:
1. Open your scratch account, login, click your account name on
the top right the choose ‘Karyaku’

2. Click ‘+ Karya Baru’

3. It will lead to your online studio, click new and choose ‘Load
from your computer’ then choose the project that you’ve
created.

4. Click OK

5. Choose Share

6. It will lead to your uploaded project page, fill in the title, the
instruction and the description as detail as possible then choose
‘Salin Tautan’

7. If this pop out, choose ‘Salin Tautan’ then paste the link in a file that
you can easily access in case you loose the link.

8. Click/type your class studio link that is given by your instructure
on your homework page in this modul (Ex. Homework 1 Link is:
https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/28589863/) Click the link and it
will lead to this page, choose ‘ Tambahkan Karya’

9. Paste your prokect link/url that you get on step 7 on the column and
click ‘Tambahkan dari URL’

10. Done! Your project is uploaded to your class studio. Don’t


forget to confirm it to your instructor/teacher so they could
check whether your project has been uploaded or not. Repeat
these steps for every homework.

Homework 7 – Final Project
• Create your own game with the features that you have learned
during the program, the theme is energy. You can play with the
character, background, story or the mission as you like.
Remember, while making a game there should be a goal that
player should achieve while playing it. (Ex. Catching bad
resources (gas/matters/people/industry) that cause damage to
the earth.
