Introduction
The Series 1200 offers globe valves with multi cage trim, this specially designed low
noise anti-cavitation cage-guided trim controls high & moderate pressure differential & it
provides fine flow control. It is used to control a wide variety of clean liquids and gases.
The series 1200 allows single cage to six cage trim options. its cage-guided design eliminates
plug vibration and provides smooth performance, Series-1200 offers a quick change design for
easy maintenance. The multi caged design is best to control moderate & high pressure drop
which may cause cavitation erosion, vibration & noise .

Principal Of Operation
In conventional single stage valve trim, fluid velocity increases significantly as the
throttling area is very less & total pressure drop across single stage can lead to cavitation in
valve and high trim exit velocity, cavitation can damage valve components & high velocity
fluid cause erosion, vibration, & high noise.

The Multi cage trim provides resistance in each stage & the amount of pressure drop
per cage is controlled to reduce trim exit velocity & to lower pressure recovery to prevent
cavitation problem.
