Musing on my Sacred Space

This space of mine has a meaningful impact on me. This is where I spend most of my time. I call
this place my sacred haven. This vital space of mine is located at the center of our house, and as
you enter our main door, this is the first thing you will see. My place is quite colorful, and it
is exceptionally pleasing in the eyes. It makes me comfortable as I sit on that chair and stare at
the four corners of that cabinet. When I started encountering hardships in life, I began seeking
spaces to meditate and feel secured. I have proactively searched out sacred areas and places
of beauty, quiet, and solitude around our house to deepen my experience of the divine and
continue my inner journey to healing wholeness. When I found my sacred haven, I have
been refreshed, healed, and restored and realized that I have lots of happy memories with my
family. This space has a sentimental value to me because it helped me heal emotionally and
realized that I have my family and Jesus to support and love me unconditionally. I was a suicidal
person. However, this sacred haven helped me a lot. I was healed, and I found my purpose in
life. It made me realize that Jesus and my family are always there guiding me and protecting me.
Plus, everything I see there is an art because art is subjective. It still depends on how one person
perceives that thing. The statues of saints, Jesus, and Mary were all created to enhance one’s
spiritual connection. Through these works, I feel connected with the Higher Being. Art produced
for this purpose may reinforce the shared beliefs of an individual or a human community. These
pieces around me are kinds of art that can positively affect my mood, making me
feel happier, calmer, or even inspired to do something.
