Construction of Solar Panel Powered Well in Tawos Khel village
Organization for Research and Community Development (ORCD) through funding from Penny Appeal
is intending to construct a Solar Powered Well project Tawos Khel village, Kot district, Nangarhar-
Afghanistan

Through this RFQ, ORCD invites qualified firms to submit quotations for construction of the
aforementioned project according to volume sheet and design provided as part of key project
documents.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Must be construction company;

2. Registration license of the firm must be valid;
3. Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience (contract copies must be provided along
with quotation);
4. Must have funds for financing the construction work (bank statement must be attached with
quotation);
5. Must provide Bid Security Bank Letter 10% of the total bidding value;

Terms and conditions:

The specific terms and conditions for this assignment are as below:

 Construction work must be carried out in line with volume sheet (BOQ), 2D (floor plan) and
3D design according to the required quantities qualities prepared by ORCD;
 Quality assurance of the construction work must be undertaken by an expert engineer of the
firm;
 Construction work included but not limited to the following; well boring, construction of
water tank, installation of Solar Panels, installation of Solar Panel frame and etc. must be
completed within two and a half months from signing contract;

Payment terms:
Awarded construction company will be paid the total amount of contract value in one installment
through bank upon successful completion of the construction work according to volume sheet (BOQ)
and other engineering designs.

M&E and Quality Assurance:

The quality of work will be evaluated through joint oversight committee comprised of ORCD, DoRR
and community representatives.

The oversight committee may accept or reject the quality of work in part or completely. As such, the
Construction Company must be willing to improve the quality of work of complete the incomplete
work as per the volume sheet after M&E report of the oversight committee.
