Proposal Concept

Piloting Feasibility of MedcardApps AB’s Software ‘FrontDesk’ in the Indian

Digital Health Market

Background
India's journey in the digital health and its contribution to the landmark resolution on digital health by
the World Health Organization has been recognized globally. In the last few years, India has
demonstrated its commitment by forming National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) to leverage the
support of relevant partners (specialized in digital technologies) in the ecosystem of health care. The
strategy to enhance India's progress in the implementation and scale-up of digital health interventions
is drawing attention to developing solutions, capacity building of the workforce, harnessing health
data to facilitate research and development, evidence-informed development of policies, and
sustaining efficiency and quality health services. Integration of digital health has started contributing
to national and regional level health informatics through appropriate monitoring, and periodic
evaluation informed by frameworks specific to digital health applications. But still, for the optimal
digitization of health care in India, the country has to go long way.

According to Statista (https://www.statista.com/outlook/dmo/digital-health/india), in India, revenue

in the Digital Health sector will grow from existing USD 9.22bn at present to USD 25.64bn by 2027
with an annual growth rate (CAGR 2022-2027) of 22.70%. The average revenue per user (ARPU) is
expected to grow to USD 28.04, which is 2nd highest in the world after China. This indicates the
potential for growth of the digital health market is significantly very high.
