online doctor consultations and
telemedicine services in Asia
MyDoc's services will be integrated into Pulse by Prudential, the
first app of its kind in the region offering holistic health
management to users.

Hong-Kong headquartered life insurance company Prudential

announced that it will partner with telemedicine provider
MyDoc (https://www.my-doc.com/) to offer consumers access
to value-added health services on their mobile phones,
including doctor consultations, electronic prescriptions and
electronic medical certificates.
MyDoc's services will be integrated into Pulse by Prudential, the

first app of its kind in the region offering holistic health
management to users. Pulse features self-help health and
wellness tools, a symptom checker powered by Artificial
Intelligence, and other value-added services. The Pulse app will
launch in 11 markets across Asia, and can be downloaded for
free.
MyDoc offers patients a video consultation with a doctor

through Pulse, as well as the option to book a face-to-face
appointment. Electronic prescriptions, medicine delivery,
electronic medical certificates and online records will be
offered in selected markets as an additional service. MyDoc’s

consulting doctors are required to have at least three years of

private practice experience, additional clinical and product
training, and must pass test consultations prior to certification.
Market-specific details and launch dates for Pulse and MyDoc's

telemedicine services will be announced in due course.
THE LARGER TREND
In June, Prudential entered into a regional agreement with

HælthTech (https://www.mobihealthnews.com/content/asia-
pacific/prudential-enters-regional-agreement-h-lthtech-asia),
a specialist provider of technology solutions and operating
platforms for insurers. Under the agreement, Prudential will
integrate HælthTech’s OMNI cloud-computing technology into
PRUWorks by Prudential, a one-stop platform that offers small
and medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) a range of insurance
products, employee benefits and business services that match
their size, needs and budget.
MyDoc partnered with insurance provider AIA in December 2018

members-singapore) to digitally deliver health screening
results of AIA Vitality members in Singapore. In Hong Kong,
Malaysia and Singapore, MyDoc has established successful and
ongoing implementations with the largest insurers and Fortune
500 companies in the region including AIA, Aetna, and Cigna.

tracking and symptom checking to online consultations and
