DESKRIPSI MATA This subject consists of several topics through which students will learn about engineering English and
KULIAH terms related to mechanical industry combined with simple grammar to review students fundamentals
mastery of General English and language aspectcs: reading, listening, speaking and writing. The Topics are:
Numbers and Calculations ; symbols, decimals, fractions, roots, mathematical operations, parts of
speech/word formation, shapes, and measurement; two and three dimensional shapes, verbs and their
problems. Engineering Equipments; handtools, instruments, problems with nouns. Mechanical Fastener;
bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, problems with adjective and adverbs. Safety Rules (outing class); safety
clothes, safety instructions/rules, imperative sentence. Machines, Engines and Motors; types and
function of machines, engines and motors. compare and contrast sentences. Transmission; gears,
wheels, sprockets, pulleys, proportion and ratio.
CAPAIAN After studying this subject, students are able to communicate accurately and fluently in English
