• The SFDA proposes to reduce the Risk of imported food products into KSA through testing and
Inspection.
• Intertek has signed a contract with SFDA on the 10th of July 2018 for a period of 1 year to test and
inspect the food products exported to KSA for verifying their compliance with Saudi requirements
• Intertek’s compliance verification programme is based on:
• Testing of samples and consignment Inspection at country of origin
• Risk Assessment of the Supply chain and risk mitigation
• Consignments passing the compliance verification process will be issued with a Certificate of
Conformity (COC)
• Intertek’s Intellectual Property web based platform “INLIGHT” will be used for Risk management of
the supply chain enabling intervention at the vulnerable points by applying appropriate controls
thereby providing better visibility across the supply chain
