SALEEM SABER
SAFETY PROGRAMME IN SAUDI
INTRODUCTION TO SALEEM / SABER
• SALEEM
 SALEEM is the new Programme for the certification of
products and shipments to KSA. It is also known as Saudi
Product Safety Programme.
 With this new Programme, consumer products are
classified as Regulated and Non-regulated products.
Requirement for Regulated products are defined in the
SASO Technical Regulations. Non-regulated products are
Low Risk Products where there is no Technical Regulation.
SABER
 SABER is the IT system/platform developed by SASO
for facilitating the online certification of Products and
Shipments under the SALEEM Programme.
 The SABER system is designed to integrate with the
KSA Customs Single Window and with other KSA
authorities.
 The SABER system includes system for verification of
products' conformity and Rapid Alert on non-
conforming products.

inspect the food products exported to KSA for verifying their compliance with Saudi requirements
• Intertek’s compliance verification programme is based on:

• Consignments passing the compliance verification process will be issued with a Certificate of
Conformity (COC)
