All   other   nationalities   not   listed   above   need   the   MCV   visa   and   a   Transit   visa.   The   Manning  Agent   in   your   country   will   apply   for   these  
visas  free  of  charge.  Contact  him/her  immediately  as  the  process  takes  some  time.    
Transit  Visa  -­‐  this  is  a  single-­‐entry  visa  valid  for  one  month  and  allows  you  to  stay  in  Australia  for  up  to  72  hours.  A  guarantee  letter  
has   been   attached   to   your   employment   letter.  Please  give  this  to  the  Manning  Agent  as  this  letter  is  needed  to  apply  for  the  Transit  
visa.

Seaman’s  Book:  
 
Some  cruise  lines  require  a  Seaman’s  Book  (mainly  for  their  ships  in  Europe  and  Asia).  
If  you  were  hired  by  any  of  those  companies,  we’ve  probably  already  told  you  how  to  get  the  Seaman’s  Book,  and  you’ve  already

Obtaining  a  Seaman’s  Book  is  a  simple  two-­‐part  process:  
 
1. Complete  the  “C.  Seaman’s  Record  Book  Page  1  Application  Form”  
2. Present  the  requested  documents  to  Viking  Recruitment  Ltd,  following  the  instructions  given  on  “B.  Seaman's  Book  
Applications  process”
