Task 5: Curve Balls

Scenario 1
The team has a scheduled daily stand-up at 9 am in the morning. The meetings usually take over an
hour. A lot of time is spent discussing a tricky dependency between several tasks that requires extensive
conversation.

Diagnosis
Lack of clarity and inconsistent work could lead for such dependency between several tasks which in
turn requires much time than the usual.

Remedy
 Make the points to discuss short and on point.
 Make points and work clear before the meeting starts.
 Complete the work within time
 Have a proper communication and clarity with other team mates

Scenario 2
In the beginning of the sprint the tasks were picked up by the development team. However, by the
middle of the sprint, development team starts to look to Scrum Master to assign tasks to individual
developers.

Diagnosis
Improper assignment of tasks before the project starts
Remedy
Before the project starts, proper plan and assignment of works must be done. So that such problem will
not arise. Though there are any sudden changes in the process, the team must adopt the situation.

Scenario 3
If a development team member needs to discuss a task with the Product Owner, the developer
approaches Scrum Master to help set up a meeting with the Product Owner.

Diagnosis
Scrum master acts as a bridge between Development Team and the Product Owner since Scrum master is
responsible to understand and implement the scrum principles, makes the team to have clear vision and
follows the project up to date so it is necessary to discuss with scrum master.
Remedy
To follow as it is
Scenario 4
The team is using the latest Agile Application Lifecycle Management tool because it is supposed to be
most effective. However, most of the team is having hard time getting used to the tool.

Diagnosis
Updated methodology is better to have faster work completions and saves more time.
Remedy
Team has to adopt latest technologies to make the work to have more quality. It takes time to get
habituated to the updates but it makes the work easy once getting habituated
