Dear Dale Long:

Thank you for contacting the Office of the Attorney General (“OAG”) to
submit a public records request. This request received August 2, 2022, seeks
certain records, specifically:

“Any correspondence, email or otherwise with Washoe Sheriffs

department, WES URBAN, Postal Service Steve Kline, Chief
William Scott regarding Mike Clark, Kate Thomas, Bob Lucey
and the mailers that went out April 30, 2022, in Washoe County.
Washoe reports they turned the case over to your office, we want
all correspondence. Is the matter closed? Was there a finding that
supported a violation of law? Was there a referral or closure
statement? Also requesting all reports and internal / external
correspondence related to this matter.”

The OAG previously provided an anticipated response date of October

14, 2022. However, our office will require additional time to complete a
search and review of potentially responsive records. 1 We anticipate
responding to this request by December 16, 2022.
