MASUNGI GEORESERVE

Masungi Georeserve is a Philippine conservation park with a thousand-year-old karst and rock
formations buried away in the dense forest of Rizal. Located in Km 47, Baras, Rizal in the Philippines.
Masungi gets its name from the phrase "Masungki," which means "spiked," and refers to the area's
limestone formation. It has been safeguarded for almost 15 years and was reopened to the public in
December 2015 with the goal of balancing man's coexistence with environment. Since then, it has been
a favorite location for hikers who seek to communicate with nature, whether they are beginners or
experienced.

The discovery route in Masungi Georeserve allows visitors to explore the conservation area and
experience karst landscape. The trek will run about 3-4 hours and will include opportunities to see
wildlife and different plant species. It will be guided by a qualified local park ranger. Because of the
granite and concrete blocks that cover the trail, it may appear to be a stroll in the park. Expect plenty of
tough ups and downs, such as rope climbing, hanging bridge crossings, and rock scrambling, to put
visitors' minds and bodies to the test. Aside from the primary features, visitors will learn about the
history of the area and have a better understanding of it.
