1. Scope
This specification covers low alloy steel bars in the hot or cold finished condition.
This specification is inclusive of the compositions for UNS G51200; ASTM A29 5120; and YB 6
20Cr.

4. Specification
4.1. Significance and Use
4.1.1. This specification covers low alloy steel bars in the hot or cold finished condition.
4.1.2. Acceptance limits are statistically significant as described in CES 99020 unless spe-
cifically excepted.
4.2.1. The chemical composition shall be as shown in Appendix A, Table 1 when analysed
in accordance with ASTM A751.
4.5. Structure
4.5.1. Grain size shall be 5 - 8 when determined in accordance with ASTM E112.
4.6.1. Material shall be clean and uniform and free from seams, laps, cracks, and other de-
fects detrimental to fabricability, appearance, or performance.
