I’m going to make a little guide here about my two decks. I will try, and also translate it into bad
English so everyone can understand me. ( I hope so)
You know that I illustrated my decks with the Marseille tarot guide that Jodorowsky made. I got it
online and in my language, so I was very lucky.
I started drawing a single illustration. I told a friend and he told me that Jodorowsky had made
an easy-to-understand guide, so I downloaded it and started reading it.
I had always liked to illustrate from a text. And that’s why I began to illustrate an entire tarot.
I knew the tarot of Marseille, I knew it from seeing it, not from studying it, or from reading
anything on the subject, but on the Internet I saw many versions of it, and most looked like the
images of the original, so I invented a different symbolism introducing drawings of plants that
would help me understand the meanings of tarot. The world of plants fascinates me, I have
some books at home that even talk about how to make your own garden at home.
The process of the drawings are in this tumblr, and in my instagram account.
I asked the public a lot of things, including the color palette and the undersides of the cards. and
in the end I always used those choices because I also wanted it to be a job we all did together.
Seeing the opinions of others encourages me to draw more.
For the “cover” of the box I used my favorite plant. I called them “blue trumpets” but their name
in English is much prettier MORNING GLORIES.
THE MAJOR ARCANA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Magician: Mistletoe

What the Marseille tarot guide of Jodorowsky says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS:
Start. Everything can be done. Take your place. Man called to rise.
Started.Work. Cunning. Art to convince. Spontaneity. Selfishness. Start of
the search for lost wisdom. Artist. Game. Will to create.
My keywords are: Start, Artist. Game. Will to create.
In this card, I decided to draw two hands that held an “egg” open as if it were
the “Bing Bang” from which the Mistletoe arose.
In ancient times, the Druids (people of the priestly class of the iron age in
Europe) used this plant in rites and prayers. They believed that this plant had
magical powers and used it in their rites and sacrifices because they thought
they gave more power to their actions.
If you write the words “druid” or “mistletoe” in the wikipedia you can know a
little more.

The Priestess: White Lily⁣

What Jodorowsky’s guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS
Divine Mother. Accumulation. Virgin. Hidden Church. Dominant Mother.
Frigid Woman. Secret known to those who know how to decipher it.
Coldness. Severe education. Empress Holy books Loneliness. Silence.
Meditation. Rigor. Inhibition. Celibacy. Covering up a work.
My keywords to illustrate it are: virgin, hidden church, silence.
The plant represented here is a flower: the white lily.
I grew up in a small suburb of houses called bishop’s houses. Next to the
houses was a church. My mother never instilled in me the religious feeling
but by living near a church I knew what everything related to it meant. on
Sundays, they did ceremony or there were weddings. The church was
awarded white and red flowers, carnations and lilies, something very
modest. When someone died, a ceremony was used to gather the entire
neighborhood (I suppose it is done everywhere in the world): But there were
also white flowers. The white lily flower related to the church and its
ceremonies, to adorn the silence and give “light” to places that are
dedicated to worship and
meditation. That is why I decided to draw a woman of green color, over a medium dark sky from
which a green moon emerges. All colored in a dim light, like that of the churches.

The Empress: Queen Anne’s Lace⁣

What Jodorowsky’s guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS
Creative impulse. He wants to invest. Fertility. Beautiful woman.
Incarnate Initiative. Grace. Lover. Productive activities. Hand that
takes. Famous or senior woman. Coquetry. Businesswoman.
Here I did not select any keywords. I just thought she was a beautiful
and very powerful woman. I also attributed a flower, because this
tarot is mainly from plants and flowers. The flower is the carrot flower.
The common name is very ugly and says nothing in itself. But in
English it takes strength: Queen Anne’s lace. That name is beautiful
and could be used in an illustration describing a beautiful and
powerful woman. This flower appears wild in the field where I was
born: Galicia. And I always liked to make bouquets with them.

The Emperor: Cypress, Dutchman’s Pipe

What the Marseille tarot guide of Jodorowsky says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS:
Stability. Dominating Father Power. Base of all construction. Material
energy. Support for. Influential character. Power over the material
world. Husband. Sexual power Patriarchy. Family boss.
Peacekeeping Force
Keywords I used to draw: All. But I guess the most: sexual power.
Its flower is the Aristolochia. It is a plant that I did not know. I studied
it a bit to put it in this letter. apart from its special form (if you go to
the internet and look for it, it looks like an erect penis, it is a bit
unpleasant really)

Studies recognize that it is a toxic plant, it can produce tumors in the

urinary tract and kidneys. In spite of all this, I also read that they
used it, formerly to cause births in pregnant women, to cause the
period and to cure snake bites, just as Marco Tulio Cicero learned to use it for these purposes.
But also, in cases of erectile dysfunction of men. That is why it occurred to me to draw on the
words “sexual rapport” that Jodorowsky describes in the meanings, a great warrior who in the
past could be someone very powerful, who infused respect but is also adorned with a plant
called Aristolochia. Indeed, the drawing has so much detail that the flower cannot be seen. But
in the image on the right I color it red so it can be seen where it is.

the Pope/ Hierophant: Sage

What the Marseille tarot guide of Jodorowsky says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS
Mediator. Ideal. Priest. Inspired Authority Guide. Spiritual power.
Bridge to the sacred. Faith. Holiness. Alliance. Ritual. Help
humanity. Knowledge. Dogmas Great initiate False guru.
Marriage. Gather. Idealized father Secret revealed. Blessing.

Keywords to illustrate: All.

For this illustration I used the sage office plant. Considered as the
medicinal plant par excellence. It is also closely related to
shamanism, it is a “magic” plant. It is a plant not only to clean but
also to purify.
as a curiosity of this illustration: since I tried to use all the female
figures to illustrate this whole tarot here, it couldn’t be less.
Although the name is still masculine, what I drew is a woman with
a uniqueness: the tattoo on the chin. These tattoos are called
“moko kauae”. A sacred facial tattoo for women. Maori women in
New Zealand consider moko kauae, or traditional tattoo on
women’s chin, as a physical manifestation of their authentic identity and dignity. I read an article
in a magazine that interviewed Maori women today. Speaking of it as a “brand” that makes them
visible. I liked the idea of transmitting that dignity as a woman in a world that (I speak for myself
and my culture) is dominated by men: Christianity. Where women do not become priests or
priestesses or popes because those “status” only men have. So, here I have drawn a woman
pope who comes out of nature on a moonlit night. Where he seems to be doing a shamanism
ritual, in which he is purifying with Salvia.
link to the magazine that talks about women maories:
https://www.vice.com/es/article/9k95ey/mujeres-maories-tatuajes-sagrados-barbilla
The Lovers: Rose, Passion Flower⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS:
SAW. THE LOVE
Union. Call to love Joy. Pleasure to do what you love. Enthusiasm.
Beauty. Mother who prevents the union of her son with his wife.
Oedipus. Incest. Choice.Tentation. Love conflict. Uncertainty.
Harmony.
As Jodorowsky’s Tarot guide says, love can be diverse. It is global,
not only can it be represented by a woman and a man. In medieval
times I suppose that the “normal” for the time is to represent the
union of a couple of men and women. But today, representing that
union only by man and woman would be illogical. That’s why I drew
two anonymous hands holding hands holding a bouquet of rose
flowers and passion flower.

The Chariot: Sagebrush⁣

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS:
Action in the world. Travel. Work in a lively and organized
movement. Triumph. Lover. Awareness of the Cosmos. Talent.
Conquest. Successful artist. Transmission of a work.
keywords to illustrate: Action in the world. Travel. Work in a lively
and organized movement. Cosmos Awareness
For this illustration I used the Artemis plant (Artemisia vulgaris)
In the Middle Ages, witches used it because it was believed to
induce lucid dreams and astral travel. That is why in the image I
wanted to draw a girl lying on a bed of artemises watching the
spiraling sky dreaming and having an astral trip.
In wikipedia you can read this information and other uses that this
plant has.
Justice: Brazilian Plume Flower⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Universal balance. Weigh and cut.
Perfection. Rigor. Castrating mother. Responsibility in freedom.
Reason and will. Collaboration in the divine work. Inflexibility.
Process. Referee. Cosmic Laws Good or bad actions that follow us
through our successive existences. Lucidity. Give to who deserves it.
Keywords: Universal balance. Weigh and cut.
For this card I used the plant that gives it the name: Justice. Its white
petals inspired me to create a “personification” of the plant. At one
end you see a hand holding the “hair” (petals) and with the other cut
the “head.” I liked this image so much that I used it as a “corporate”
logo image.

The Hermit: Morning Glories⁣

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Move forward without knowing where you
are going, but going. Crisis. Doubt and Overcoming. Prudence.
Wisdom. Absent father. Alcoholism. Clarify the past. Therapist.
Pilgrimage. Knowledge of the Occult. Weather. Chastity. Secret.
Self study.
keywords: Move forward without knowing where you are going, but
you are going. Doubt. Pilgrimage
Those words caught me. I imagined a butterfly fluttering, flying
nonstop, circling, moving forward …
The flower for this time is the morning glories. A butterfly sits on my
favorite flower.
The Wheel of Fortune: Rosemary⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: End of cycle. Universal wheel of the laws
of nature moved by providence. Need for external help. Cycle of
deaths and rebirths. Circulation. Alternation. Immobility that awaits
the force that will come to set it in motion. Circumstances. Embody
the spiritual and spiritual matter.
keywords to draw: End of cycle. Universal wheel of the laws of
nature. Cycle of deaths and rebirths. Circulation. Immobility that
awaits the force that will come to set it in motion. Embody the
spiritual and spiritual matter.
For this letter I used the Romero plant. It is a very abundant plant in
Spain. Very used both in culinary use and in infusion and cold
treatments. In my house you can not miss the rosemary. In some
countries, a sprig of rosemary is placed in the hands of the
deceased or planted on their grave.
In the image you can see a lying body, dead, which rose from his
chest rosemary and from this his “spirit.”

Strength: Dandelion⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Start on another plane. Start of a new
cycle. Spirit that controls desire. Harmony between intellect and
sexuality. Conquer by seduction. Self-discipline Magnetism.
Awareness. Delicately control aggressive situations.
Masturbation. Sexual inhibitions Moral strength Detachment in
action. Frigid woman who fears orgasm. Heroism. Self
awareness
keywords: apart from the words that Jodorowsky says: “Spirit
that controls desire. Harmony between intellect and sexuality.
Masturbation. Sexual inhibitions Frigid woman who fears
orgasm. “The same word Force in Spanish has already given
me an idea of what to draw. Because if in Marseille Tarot a
woman already appears opening a lion’s mouth, here inevitably,
if my tarot is of plants and women, I would have to draw a
dandelion and a woman. Above all, this makes sense from the perspective of the Spanish
language. Because translating literal “dandelion” would be like saying in English: lion's teeth. It
is also a plant used both medicinal and culinary.
In the picture you can see a naked woman who seems to masturbate with a dandelion flower. I
drew all this for the meanings that Jodorowsky gives to the card: sexual inhibition,
masturbation….

The Hanged Man: Snowdrops ⁣(galanthus)

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: High. Meditation. Fetus.
Gestation. Don of yes. Test. Progress imposed by pain.
Reach the mental void. Wait and self-denial. Autocast. He
thinks he is very tied. Not shared love Inner forces
received by prayer. I work with each other.
Keywords: Fetus. Gestation. Reach the mental void. Wait
and self-denial.
For this illustration I used a butterfly chrysalis (the same
one I used for the hermit’s card) hanging on a white bell:
winter bell. It is abundant in Europe and Asia. It has no
medicinal characteristics, as far as I know, but I used it
because it is a flower that I always find in the field and I
like its appearance. I drew it in reverse in the same
drawing so it would make “sense” if the card is flipped.
The Nameless Arcanum: Mallow⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Deep transformation. Revolution. Elimination of

everything that prevents progress. End of an illusion. Transmutation.
Cataclysm. Death. Lost. Harvests. Attack. Anger. Family hate. End of
something. Serious illness. Sadism. Destruction work of the
unconscious. Debris Radical changes. Roughing.
Keywords: Death. Harvests. End of something Serious illness.
For me it is a very special card because that is why I started drawing a
tarot. At a time when I was suffering from a serious illness (of which I
was cured later) I felt the need to explain (without words) what I felt. I
unconsciously drew a torso of a pale woman in the field and surrounded
by hollyhocks. The mallow is a very abundant plant in the weeds of the
field and has great ease of growing between climate and diverse terrain.
This caused them to grow mainly in abandoned places and cemeteries,
so the idea that the body of the deceased served as “fertilizer” was
quickly associated. There is a saying that says: “be raising mallows”
which means that there is something dead or buried.
As another curiosity, in the first publications I made in my instagram, I
uploaded this card with three color variants. As I did not decide to
choose one, I asked people. And it came out, by popular vote the current
palette that has this tarot.

Temperance: Aloe Vera⁣

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS:
Healing. Guardian angel. Moderation. Balance. Reciprocity. Internal
circulation Harmony. Communication. Purification of the soul Messenger
of grace. Life elixir. Divine Help Flow of the past in the present and into
the future. Medicine. Double luxury of vital forces. Serenity of the spirit.
Mood balance. Put the water in the wine. It brings the gift and the
receptivity.
Keywords: Guardian Angel. Balance. circulation. Messenger of grace.
Life elixir. Put the water in the wine
I associated Aloe Vera to this card because of the characteristics of its
meanings: “elixir of life”. We already know all the properties that this plant
has and the benefits for human beings. I drew an angel, balanced holding
two glasses: one of wine and one of water.
The Devil: Hell Flower⁣ (Lycoris Radiata)
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Animality. Sexual forces. Great creativity Tie.
Work on the subject. Passion. Unconscious. False guru. Temptation.
Fermentation. Self-centered domination Money. Bestiality. Pride.
Fascination. Orgy. Sadomasochism Derision. Trap. Dark side.
Perversions Vitality Deposit
Keywords: Temptation. Pride. Dark side
This tarot is about women and plants. In this card I wanted to represent
a woman in face profile who represented the devil. With his half smile
that more or less meant pride and temptation. The flower for this card is
the flower of hell: Lycoris Radiata, which is deep red. As the color
palette has no red color, I had to “engineer” it to represent that color. I
colored the dark background with the violet and to highlight the flower I
colored it green and yellow. As a curiosity: I uploaded this letter on
August 23, 2015. It can be seen on my instagram. At that time I did not
write in English a word because among my followers were close friends
and family, but at the bottom of the picture it can be read: “it is difficult to
represent the color red when you have only this color palette”.

The Tower: Death Flower

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: What was hidden goes outside. Joy. Dance
around the temple. Divine strength. Thunder. Phallus. Ruin. Catastrophe.
Breaking limits. Accident. Divorce. Explosion. Collapse. Release.
Ejaculation. Coup of genius. Breaking off. Let sexual energy circulate.
Illumination.
Keywords: What was hidden goes outside. Thunder. Phallus. Ejaculation.
For card 16 of the major arcana, I used the death plant or corpse plant. I
think the shape could look like a tower because of its height. Then it only
lasts a short time, it is as if the plant is saving energy inside and
releasing it in a stench explosion.
The Star: Jasmine
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Gift of yes to the world. Reception medium.
Providential help Universal love. Waste of energy in things of the past.
Nostalgia. Grace. Muse. Astrological influence. Aquarium. Altruistic
action. Accomplished woman. Sanctify the place. Peace. Harmony.
Music. Fragrance. Paradise.
keywords to inspire me to draw: Astrological influence. Accomplished
woman. Peace. Harmony. Music. Fragrance.
I think it was the second tarot card I drew. I identified the jasmine flower
with the card of the star by the shape of its petals, its delicacy, its sweet
aroma, the calm in the spring nights.

The Moon: Epiphyllum oxypetalum

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:
POSSIBLE MEANINGS: Maternal archetype. Cosmic Mother Femininity
Deep intuition. Dream. The unconscious. Delusions. Loneliness. Night.
Sadness. Stagnation. Gestation. Children calling the love of the mother.
Desire to return to the womb. Madness. Superstition. Depression.
Secret. Secrecy. What is hidden.
keywords that inspired me to draw: Femininity. Dream. Loneliness.
Night
I chose this flower for its beauty and for the name. In Spanish it has
different names in which they are ( literally): lady at night, dance at
night,
It has a pleasant aroma, like jasmine, which lasts at night.
And I remember watching a video of this flower blooming in the night
that captivated me.
The Sun: Lantana⁣
What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS:Paternal archetype. Cosmic Father Scratching.

Fraternal love. Construction of a common work. Success. Happiness.
Light. Initiatory couple The one helps the other to get through. Wealth of
the harvest. Glory. Consciousness realized. Father who loves his
children. Solidarity.

keywords to draw: Success. Happiness. Light. Wealth of the harvest.

Among those words indicated, the very word that the title gives him also
inspired me: the sun. To which I would add vitality. That’s why I drew big
rays of light. The flower of Lantana is very special. I discovered this
plant because one of my balconies in my house is always sunny, and
many plants can’t stand the temperature because of the excess heat.
The lantana plant does. In some species, its flowering is yellow and then
it becomes reddish, as it is a gradual change, in the same flower you
can find both colors at the same time. It is a beautiful flower.

Judgement: Rose of Jericho⁣

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS:I want irresistible. Call of the divine and the

spiritual. Resurrection. Ad. Message. Renewal. Birth to a higher
consciousness. Integrate paternal archetypes. Wake. Revelation. Faith.
Fervor. Virtue. Blessing of the parents. The grace. Initiatory cycle
completed. Consecration. Music.

keywords to draw: Call of the divine and the spiritual. Resurrection.

Renewal. Wake. Revelation. Faith.Card number 20 is for Jericho’s
flower. Selaginella lepidophylla. “It is a plant that" resuscitates “, that is,
after a period of drying it can continue its life cycle if it is rehydrated. In
the absence of water, a latent state of life is produced, which consists in
the prevention of tissue and cell damage during drying, synthesizes a
crystallized sugar that acts as a compatible solute. When the water crystals become available
again, the crystals of sugar dissolve and the metabolism of the plant, until then paralyzed,
reactivates its state of lethargy, and the leaves that appeared to be dead become green again
and open. ”Source: wikipedia.

The World: Poppy⁣

What the Jodorowsky Marseille Tarot guide says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS:Realization in the world. Termination. The

four energies and the fifth essence. Cosmic center. Reputation.
Universal soul. Traveler. Female sex. Unity realization. Androgynous
spiritual. Incarceration Obstacle to overcome. Difficult birth. Ideal
woman. Happy marriage. Belly of the pregnant woman. Perfect world.
Come to the world. Creative dance. Cosmic Egg

keywords to draw: Belly of the pregnant woman. Come to the

world.Card number 21 is for Poppy. In its fruit the seeds are hidden
and it is shaped like a capsule. Because of its resemblance to a
pregnant woman, I associated the shape of this plant. The woman tilts
her head up, where it coincides with a white sphere that is the center
of the cosmos.

The Fool: Golden root⁣

What the Marseille tarot guide of Jodorowsky says:

POSSIBLE MEANINGS:Original Energy Undefined Freedom.

Madness. Chaos. Man marching towards evolution. Nomadic.
Anarchy. Wish. Infinite Dimension Delirium. Aspiration to light and
eternal life. Search for the truth. Move towards the development of all
human possibilities. Prophet. Carry the essentials. Visionary. There
are so many meanings in a single letter that it is impossible to define
it in an image. But I looked at the keywords: “Aspiration to light and
eternal life.” “Search for the truth.” “Visionary. “This tarot is drawn
primarily with women, women and plants. According to the guide, the
tarot is divided into gender, male and female. But I wanted to do it
differently and I thought about drawing only female figures. In some
cases I could not achieve it because as the guide says, there are
figures that are described with masculine ones. In the case of the
"fool” I drew a woman, from which a strong light emanates from there
the “aspiration to light” and adorned with an owl that these birds can
see in the dark. And decorated with the Golden Root. Why did I attribute the Golden Root with
this card? There is a scientific study that says that this plant has the “elixir of eternal life” in its
flowers. A pharmacist who did a study on this plant, her name is Mahtab Jafari. And she says
that in the future, the extract of this plant could be used as an anti-aging supplement for
humans.

The Minor Arcana

Jodorowsky in his guide makes an introduction to this topic. I will not translate everything, but I
will only talk about each of the decks.

What the jodorowsky guide says:

Ouros /Pentacles or Coins // Botón de Oro (Ranunculus Acris) Buttercups.

Pentacles could be physical, material realization, body orgasm, dominance. It is the activity of
the OFFICIAL CONTROLLER, of the MERCHANT. In the Gold the conscious and the
unconscious join. It is the body filled by the spirit and banal materiality. It is the silver and the
golden of the Saint. It is the material work and the work of yoga, commitment, union and
disunity. It is a miserable reality and the zodiac. It is disease and health Etc.
Copas/ Cups // Margaritas / Daisies.

Cups could be intuition, emotional life, faith, everything that refers to the heart. It is the activity of
the goldsmith, the priest. She represents love, kindness, emotional disappointment, selfishness,
generosity, bitterness, mercy, faith, pleasure, joy, optimism, passions, etc.

Bastos/ Wands // Bastón del Emperador (Etlingera elatior) / Torch Ginger⁣

The wand could correspond to the instinctive, creative, sexual primordial force. It is the job of
the woodcutter, the farmer of the land, the worker. He represents the spirit of

company, desire, authority, primary aggression, foolishness, brutal force, insemination,

masculinity, etc.

Espadas/ Swords // Dragoncillo ( Antirrhinum barrelieri ) / Snapdragons⁣

The Sword could be the Word, the intellectual force, the spiritual work. It is the activity of
blacksmith, warrior. Represents elegance, intelligence, spiritual wealth, mental aggression,
courage, fearless, legal force, ambition, hypocrisy, misfortune, slander, justice, conscience …

What the jodorowsky guide says:

ONE OF PENTACLES: material success, silver, complete orgasm, health, wisdom.

The one of pentacles is the Ranunculus Acris plant because I know it as the Golden Button.
Which is like literally saying “gold button” in English. It is a flower that appears wildly on the
roads where I was born (Galicia).

ONE OF CUPS: communication, love, talent, mysticism

The one of the cups is daisy. I think it’s a good representative of love.

ONE OF WANDS: creation, domination, sex

The one of Wands is the Torch Ginger because I needed a high floor and his name in English is
like “staff of emperor”.

ONE OF SWORDS: self-confidence, intellect, victory for courage. One of Swords is the
snapdragons because it seemed to me a good and fun idea to relate the sword (courage) to a
dragon ( little dragon if I had to translate it literally into English).

TWO OF PENTACLES/ TWO OF CUPS/ TWO OF WANDS/ TWO OF SWORDS.

What Jodorowsky’s guide says:

(I recommend reading the guide EL TAROT DE MARSELLA RESTORED OR “EL ART DEL
TAROT” by Alejandro Jodorowsky, because it makes a very good introduction about the cards
that make up the Tarot and you can know a little more about the Marseille tarot. You can find it
for free. on the internet writing just the jodorowsky tarot guide words and it is a 34 page pdf very
easy to read)

TWO OF PENTACLES: union that does not progress, message, material and spiritual wealth
that must be used.

keywords that inspired me to draw: union that does not progress. I drew in each of the “two”
letters a different woman because the guide says that the two is a female card. In the letter of
the two of golds is a woman who looks slightly to the left, and in front of two open flowers joined
by the same stem, but in one of them a third flower appears about to develop, which for me
symbolizes “the third in discord ”the third party that does not let two flowers come together
completely.

TWO OF CUPS: Great affectivity contained, inner preparation, wanting to love without knowing
how, dissatisfaction.

Keywords: want to love without knowing how. In this letter a thoughtful woman appears, looking
at some point on the right, as doubtful … in front of two open daisies and another with only one
petal. There I wanted to symbolize the famous daisy game “loves me - desn´t love me” to
remove the white petals of the daisy one by one. I do not know what other name it can have in
English or I do not know if this little innocent love game is in others cultures.

TWO OF WANDS: immaturity, strength in pregnancy, sexual weakness, incompatibility.

Keywords: immaturity, sexual weakness. Here appears a woman who stares at the center, as if
looking at us half-heartedly. In front, two open flowers.

TWO OF SWORDS: lazy intellect, dreamer, unstable balance, disloyalty, lies, lack of
awareness.

keywords: Dreamer, unstable balance, lies, lack of awareness .. Here is a woman who shows us
only part of her face and holds a flower in her ear.
what Jodorowsky’s guide says:

THREE OF PENTACLES: luck, elevation, ability, contact with a new dimension.

THREE CUPS: idealized love based on Oedipus. Comfort, cure, lack of appreciation.

THREE OF WANDS: enthusiastic action, new desire.

THREE SWORDS: sustained struggle for mental strength, victory over the physical, idealism
that can lead to disappointment.
what the Jodorosky guide says:

FOUR OF PENTACLES: project stopped by contingencies pressing it, reality full of possibility of
developing greed, desire to mature.

a woman who does not leave or wants to share her golden flowers.

FOUR OF CUPS: calm love, agreement for balance, boredom, new knowledge

a bored woman, rests on a chair full of veils and fluffy clothes.

FOUR OF WANDS: recently acquired prosperity, wishes come true. Afraid of not living up to it.

A woman falls asleep among tall flowers.

FOUR OF SWORDS: slow dilation of an accomplishment, principle of a spiritual peace.

A woman does yoga between 4 swords.

what Jodorowsky’s guide says:

FIVE OF PENTACLES: new interests for materiality, to exceed.

five golden flowers rest in a glass where the water overflows and falls to the ground.

FIVE OF CUPS: Opening of the heart, euphoria, imbalance, of making mistakes.

a daisy is leafless asking “loves me - doesn't love me?”.

FIVE OF WANDS: desires to obtain anything without abandoning what you already have.

I was inspired by the composition of the Rider Waite five of wands.

FIVE OF SWORDS: struggle to penetrate into the upper spheres new points of view, jealousy,
material love discarding the realizations of ideals.

five swords rise to the sky forming a sphere of light.

what Jodorowsky’s guide says:

SIX OF PENTACLES: psychic force exercising its domination over the elements, success in
companies, generosity.

I focus on the mental exercise a woman is doing with her eyes closed.

SIX OF CUPS: Nostalgia, plans, emotional balance to want a change but you don’t work to get
it.

A woman feels homesick with a sunset or a sunrise.

SIX OF WANDS: Conquer, stop evolving to allow a perfection, unstable sexual pleasure.

A woman is scythed among a field full of tall flowers.

SIX OF SWORDS: fertility, success after anxiety, mental positivity, strength.

A woman touches her pregnant belly between six swords stuck in the ground.
what Jodorowsky’s guide says:

SEVEN OF COINS: cosmic balance, balance between matter and psyche, humanistic matters.

seven gold-colored flowers look at the sky on a starry night with 7 bright stars.

SEVEN OF CUPS: true love that converges towards spiritual works.

the true love of a flower: a bee.

SEVEN OF WANDS: success, energy, fulfillment, violence, sexual passion.

seven flowers (emperor’s cane) are burned in a powerful and warm bonfire.

SEVEN OF SWORDS: positive mental destruction that eliminates psychic aggression, negative
magic.

A powerful hand holds a flower. (snapdragons)

what Jodorowsky’s guide says:

EIGHT OF COINS: balances of the poles, harmony of the worlds, perfect work.A woman, under
a starry night, does yoga

.EIGHT OF CUPS: joy, continuous effort to achieve total success, joy present justifying a painful
past and source of joy of life.

A smiling woman of happiness.

EIGHT OF WANDS: sexual stability, activity and inexhaustible, authority without sudden
movements, purity.

Two arms intertwined, symbol of love.

EIGHT OF SWORDS: powerful mental concentration, creative emptiness, crisis, hopelessness.

A woman collapses on the ground between eight swords.

what Jodorowsky’s guide says:
