Eukaryotic cells -It contains a nucleus and organelles. Ex. Fungi

Prokaryotic cells -Single-celled organisms without organelles and nucleus. Ex. Bacteria

Photosynthesis -The process by which plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create
oxygen and energy in the form of sugar

Transpiration  -The process by which plants give off water vapor through openings in their
leaves
Mitosis - Cellular process that replicates chromosomes and produces two identical nuclei in
preparation for cell division
Meiosis Process where a single cell divides twice to produce four cells containing half the
original amount of genetic information

Heredity The sum of all biological processes by which particular characteristics are transmitted
from parents to their offspring
Gene The basic unit of heredity that occupies a specific location on a chromosome
Variation The difference between organisms caused by alternate forms of DNA
