3-f, Answer

Charles Paterson Park currently lacks an environmentally based mapping system created for use
in metropolitan environments. The ecological structure of Charles Paterson Park is particularly
intriguing because it blends native habitats with a large number of unique species with a dynamic
imported ecology with habitats typical of their largely European and Australian origins. The
development of vegetation mapping methods for use in rural environments with a predominance
of indigenous species has been the focus of habitat mapping efforts at Charles Paterson Park too
far. They do not mention the mixed exotic-indigenous vegetation seen in urban settings including
cliff cliffs, abandoned quarries, private gardens and grounds, river and ecological trail corridors,
etc.
