Now applying Newton’s forward interpolation formula in above given data we get,

1.5 ×0.5 1.5 × 0.5× 0.5 1.5 × 0.5× 0.5 ×1.5 1.5× 0.5 ×0.5 ×
y 5 ( 6 )=0.002+1.5 × 0.021+ ×0.34 + × 0.655+ × 0.96+
2 6 24 120

y 5 ( 6 )=0.240

Resulted table is:

Time 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22

K10-3 0.002 0.019 0.023 0.240 0.384 0.386 0.43 0.63 0.466 0.455 0.415 0.282

Since, the number of missing data for D10 -7, D10-5 is two which is at interval 6-hour, 8-hour and
4-hour and 6-hour time interval respectively we have to apply the Newton’s forward
interpolation at the interval of 10-hour time.

It will be a tedious process to calculate for each and every data set so, here we will use
MATLAB to automate our calculation and get the final result and tabulate the data,
