I. Title : Conducting a Virtual Webinar for SHS students in Taguig Towards their
Future Career Path in College

 2 hours per session in a day and we will finish it in approximately 3 days.

IV. Objectives

1) To encourage them choose the ideal course in pursuit of certain careers.

2) To identify what factors they consider to make their choice in choosing
their career course in college.
3) To guide the students selecting an appropriate career path involves making
an honest self-evaluation of their talents, skills, and interests.

V. Proposal Description
A. Background of the Study
The commonly shared by students is one most difficult
things to determine as a Senior High School is choosing career in
college. This is a large choice that a lot of considerations need to
make when making a decision in your career path. Selecting an

career path is the most significant tool to reach a lifetime

occupation in life and achieving this goal can take you to a life
long passion. This realization that what they will choose today will
have an impact to the rest of their life. The idea of choosing a
career path seems as simple as choosing an area of your interests.
However the reality is students pick their courses an area for a lot
of different reasons.
Choosing a course based on your hobbies can result in
wildly successful careers, just as long as there’s a life to be had
doing whatever it is you’re passionate about. Choosing a good
course and sticking with it can help them build their passion. This
will provide students with self belief that whatever they doing is
right because it is based on a ideal perspective. Something that is
more likely to occur because it is more realistic, practical and
trusted. Choosing a course to stick will always challenging. To
have an ideal course can be beneficial and empowering, but it
cannot guarantee that one will be able to pursue one chosen career
in the future. Most of the time, it will either work out or go horribly
wrong.

B. Justification and Rationale

Senior High School student is expected choose a course at
the end of their school year which they will be studying throughout
their college level, and the decision of which course to choose is
one of the hardest decisions for a student. After graduating senior
high school, students face one of the most crucial decisions in their
lives and that is their future career decision.

C. Benefits derived from the Proposal

This research study shall benefit the following:

First, this research study shall benefit the students

because through this research we are going to know who and
what they are going to choose within the future especially in
their college life.

Second, the parents because through this research, they

will see within the near future what this parents will choose for
there children, whether or not they are going to be practical
within the near future or they are going to choose the eagerness
they require for something better and better condition their
child within the near future.

Third, for the teachers it can benefit the teachers since

this will help them in assessing the students skills and
capabilities with regards to their chosen.

Fourth, for future researcher this idea presented may be

used as a reference data of a future researcher or in other
validity of other related literature. This study will help them as
a cross reference and gave them the idea of the study about
conducting virtual webinars for shs students in taguig towards
their future career path in college.

Lastly, the Local Government sector they can plan a

more improved programed related to the topics for students not
only in taguig but in other places also.

D. Coverage of the Project
We choose the Senior High School students of Upper
Bicutan National High School with Over 242 students which is
includes HUMSS, ABM, GAS and STEM.

VI. Methodology
1) Materials

This virtual webinars requires:

1. stable internet connection

2. laptop or personal computer
3. load for the prizes
4. microphone

2) Procedure

Before we start to our webinar session, we will begin it by our

opening prayer which lead by one of our team. Next, to get the full
attention of our listeners we will conduct a ice breaker as our energizer.
We make sure the game is connected and relevant to our topic for that day.

Then, we will properly and meaningfully start our discussion about

how we will help them to choose their future career path in college. We
will provide a short presentation to the students what are the possible
courses they can take soon. Our team will explain each of the courses and
what is there specializations.

After that discussion, our team will give a short assessment through
a link. The career test is made by John Holland which is aims to explore
students career interest and knowledge based on Holland Theory to guide
them in Choosing their Career Choice in College. We will explain and
give time for the students to answer the assessment. Also we will
entertained some of their questions if they have.

Finally, after they answered the career assessment. The results will
eventually give them a idea which field of career path that are suitable for
them.

3) Instrument Used

Likert scaling questionnaire in gathering the data for it is the

appropriate tool in a quantitative research. The career test consists of six
variables. The respondents shall rate them according to their own from 1
(Dislike), 2 (Slightly Disklike), 3 (Neutral), 4 (Slightly Dislike), and 5
(Enjoy).

VII. Goals
1) We want to increase self-awareness in the students as knowledge of one’s
self is important in recognizing career options
2) We aim to conduct this proposal in order to help the students to their
decision making for their future career path in college.
3) To evaluate the Senior High School Students with regards to their
preferences in taking up a course in college in which they can get an
advantageous opportunity and go meet their expectations towards the
future.
