Summary of the story of Roro Jonggrang

Once upon a time, live a prince named Bandung Bondowoso. During the war, he killed Prabu Baka.
Then, Bandung Bondowoso fell in love with the daughter of Prabu Baka named Roro Jonggrang and
want to marry her. Roro Jonggrang also gave a challenge. If you want to marry her, Bandung
Bondowoso must build 1000 temples before dawn. Helped by genies, Bandung Bondowoso built a
temple very quickly. However, when the last temple was about to be built, they heard the sound of
people pounding rice.The genies left and he failed to build the last temple.Turns out it was all Roro
Jonggrang's own work.. When he found out about this, Bandung Bondowoso was very angry and
cursed Roro Jonggrang to be the 1000th statue to complete the project.

Summary of the story of Tangkuban Perahu

In a country called Parahyangan, there lived a beautiful woman named Dayang Sumbi.Because of his
oath, she had to marry a dog named Tumang. They live happily with a son named Sangkuriang.
Sangkuriang did not know that the dog was his father. While hunting, Sangkuriang did not get
anything.He didn't want to disappoint his mother, So Sangkuriang killed Tumang. When Dayang
Sumbi found out, Sangkuriang was beaten and kicked out of the houhous

Several years later, Sangkuriang met a beautiful girl and wanted to marry her. He did not know that
the girl was his mother. When his mother know that the young man was her son, she gave a
condition to make a dam that covered the entire hill and to make a boat during one night.
Sangkuriang agreed, then helped by genies. When he almost finished. Dayang Sumbi prayed to God.
The roosters crowed so all genies left that job. Sangkuriang realized that he had been tricked. He was
angry; he kicked that boat into the middle of a forest. Then, that boat shaped like a mountain. That
is the legend of Tangkuban Parahu.
